Fun and Run secure dog field

Can everyone please keep an eye on your dogs when using the field and pick up after them. There are bags and a bin to make it as easy as possible for you to keep the field clean for the next user. I go to check at least once a day, but everyone has a responsibility to clean up their dog’s mess. Thank you ☺️

Some of us are less pleased to see the rain than others! The field is greening up already, I’m hoping the seed will germinate to give us a good grass coverage for the winter and extra wild flowers next year. There are extra umbrellas in the summer house for everyone to use. 😊

Fun and run is an enclosed dog field in Dinas Powys CF64 4TP. Relax while your dog has the freedom to run, play and explore in a safe environment .

There’s a little lost soul hanging on the gate waiting to be reclaimed ❤️ It’s outside of the enclosed area so if it’s yours you can be reunited without needing to get into the secure area. Hoping for a beautiful reunion soon 😊 Edit: apparently it’s called Huggy Wuggy and it’s evil 🤣

We’ve over seeded the grass this weekend so I was glad to see the rain today although I got completely soaked! There’s a nice new bench in the top field too 😊 The second photo shows some lost property, if you recognise any of it feel free to collect it next time you’re there or let me know and you can collect it from me. 🐕

The will re-open tomorrow. 😊 The guys from Rejuvenate Groundworks worked so hard to make sure we could open on time. The car park is fabulous now and the shed will be developed into a washing/drying area for the winter months. 😃

Well, we are one week in to the drainage works in the field. The car park is going to be amazing when it’s completed, so much bigger and easier to use! The bottom field drainage is finished already. The guys from rejuvenate groundworks are working so hard to get it all finished for us, they’re even working on Saturday as the weather forecast for next week is a bit dodgy. I’m looking forward to being able to reopen so you can all see it. ☺️

The field will be closed for two weeks from July 14th. We are having drainage installed and also upgrading the parking area to ultimately provide a better experience for everyone. The field will be less muddy in the winter and I hope to finally get rid of the unplanned water feature in the parking area!! I will re-open as soon as soon as I can and will post some photos of work in progress here. Chris😊

The field has had a cut today, much as I loved the clover patches it was starting to get difficult to find and pick up after the dogs. I’ve left our sniffy areas for the dogs and wildlife to enjoy. ☺️ 🐕

I’ve selectively cut the grass in the field today. I’ve tried to cut around the wildflowers,so it looks like I had one too many gins before I started! 😁 I’m aiming for a wildflower meadow eventually. 🤞🏻
