Calling All Cob Owners! 🐴

Here at Derby College, we celebrate horses of all shapes and sizes-but right now, we’re on the lookout for a few more of the trusty cob types to join our herd.

Think: hardworking, kind-hearted, all-round good eggs-the sort of horse that’s as happy hacking out as they are helping students learn the ropes.

What’s in it for you?

🐎 Full livery care-your horse will be treated like one of our own.
🧼 Daily care from experienced staff and students under supervision.
🏫 We're a BHS Approved Centre, so you know your horse is in safe hands.
🐾 Owners can ride during weekends and holidays.
💸 And yes, we know times are tight-this could be a financially helpful arrangement for owners looking to dramatically reduce costs without compromising on care.

🆕SHOWJUMPING WINTER SERIES SCHEDULE BELOW 🆕

Alongside our dressage series, our Winter Showjumping Series is BACK-and this year we’re bringing you 7 exciting competitions! 🎉🐎

📅 Starting on Saturday 27th September 2025, we’ll be running a series of fun and friendly showjumping events, all contributing to our 2025–2026 Points League.

It might feel early, but we know how keen our jumpers are-so here’s your chance to mark those show dates nice and early!

We’re excited to announce the return of our much-loved Winter Dressage Series, kicking off on Sunday, 12th October 2025! ❄️🐴

🗓️ Join us for 5 fun, friendly competitions that all count towards our 2025–2026 Points League. Whether you're aiming for the top or just in it for the joy of dressage, there's something for everyone!

📌 We know October feels a while away, but we wanted to give all you keen dressage riders a chance to get the dates in your diary early. We'll be sharing reminders and more details as each show approaches-so stay tuned!

As our current apprentice has now finished her qualification (and joined the team full time 🥳)- we are now recruiting for a new apprentice! 🐴

This is a Senior equine groom (level 3) apprenticeship role so an ideal springboard for anyone looking to work professionally in industry!
