*** 3 day extravaganza ***

A weekend of positive progression and it was totally worth it although exhausting at the Norfolk Showground.

This weekend was all about Simba 💙

Friday day 1 solo trip, yes I did drive there and back all 3 days, next yr we're staying 😀!
This was the first time Simba had jumped on grass since 2019 🙈. So wasn't sure what to expect. The rings had been watered, so the ground was perfect but the warm ups were hard so did the bare minimal. First day 80 and 90 sj. First round very spooky/sticky for 4 faults. 90, I didn't do anymore jumping, just being cautious of the hard ground. Went in, stopped at the first 🙈, woke us both up, then sack the jockey moment as satnav failed for one down but he jumped well and felt less sticky and spooky 👏.

Day 2- riding club dressage and 90 sj. This time had company, Imogen was doing the same. So felt more at ease 🥰.
Novice 1- sweet test, didn't feel like he enjoyed the hard ground for 68% finishing 5th with the winner on 68.8%, very tight at the top. Team 3rd 🙌. Well done teamies and the rest of the Finn Valley members.
Dressage ran a little late which meant they were waiting for us for the sj ( thank you 😊). So a little rushed and unprepared. Just about learnt the course for 2 down, 1 was completely mine the other Simbas. But really pleased with how confident he felt, much improved from the day before.

Final day,( very lucky how we dodged the rain) Dom came along too for the 90 BRC CT and Simba 80 ( wanted to give him an easy day to finish) again had company so the journey didn't feel quite as long.
Simbas last day couldn't of been a better way to to end his 3 days, so proud of him ❤️. Same test as the day before, felt hugely better but a disappointing mark of 32.4, in my eyes easy sub 30. 🤷‍♀️. Confident easy CLEAR sj to finish 5th! This weekend was all about you and you kept improving in confidence and so so proud of you and your autistic ways! You complete weirdo! 🥰💙.
Dom was an utter tank in his dressage but the judge loved him for it 30.2 and 4 faults, finished
5th! 🥳

*** Burgee ***

Burgee is retired and usually out with couple of other retired horses but he's currently on antibiotics and waiting for the dentist to have a tooth extracted hence he's up at the yard. He is such a gentle old sole. 💙 Get better soon buddy 🥰💙

*** Evening SJ Boyton Hall ***

🥵🥵🥵 Hot one this evening!

Simba spun round the 80 and then the 90/95 for 2 down in both. But pleased how boldly he jumped building up his confidence again slowly.

Dom came out too, again another 8 faults in the 90/95. Then we had a crack at the 1/1.05. We both were very rusty at this height and it showed 🙈. But for 12 faults I was pleased. Not really given ourselves much practice recently, nothing like throwing ourselves in the deep end.

*** Hero ***

Due to the owners circumstances I have now restarted Hero over the last few days and today we went out for a hack round the farm where nanny Storm was a little useless so Hero lead all the way. Good boy. He's a very easy going BIG Irish Draught A year behind but it has done him no harm being a big lad and only 5.

Plenty of hacking over the next coming weeks to slowly build his muscle up and then will start introduce schooling when he's a little stronger. So far he's been a pleasure.

*** Super Sunday ***

Double whammy today.

First up Luna's first time in the white boards at Topthorn with Imogen where they smashed it and won 🏆. She really is a little super star thanks to all the hard work Imogen has put in over the last 3 weeks, what a transformation! Super happy owners as they really noticed a huge difference in just 3 weeks.

Then this afternoon I took Simba to his first showjumping competition in a yr or so at Boyton Hall. I had entered 2 rounds in the same class as he's lost his confidence and wanted it to be easy peasy, calm and no drama. And that's exactly what we had on our first round for one down in the jump off so left it there. So so chuffed with him, he's so capable but his brain is so complicated. I also managed to get on and off safely too 🥳✌️😂. Those that know, know 😂.

Light XC schooling (doesn't like water trays, water or puddles)
Dressage trained to Elementary level, I've competed him upto Novice
Hacks alone and in company (prefers company)
Sensible in open Spaces. (I've cantered on stubble fields and open bridleways)
Very cuddly, loves people's company.
Good with other horses (currently turned out with another gelding)
Lives in or out (oul 24/7 currently)
Good to clip, load (trailer and lorry), travel, farrier etc
Good with traffic

Bad points:
Has Stringhalt, only visible in walk, does not affect his performance at all.
Can be unpredictable ( happy to discuss)

Regular health checks:
Has regular, teeth, vacs, physio, Saddle fit (every 6 months)
Shod on fronts (due to stringhalt in hind leg he keeps taking hind shoes off)
Scoped for ulcers 4 years ago. (None present at time of scoping)

Reason for sale:
I want something that I can have fun on and not worry about when out hacking and in the arena. I have had him since he was 12 years old and I can no longer cope with his unpredictability and I just want something I can get on and ride without the worry. I feel my worry is contributing to his behavior.
Would not suit a novice rider. He needs constant stimulation and exercise at least 5 days a week (I currently exercise him 6 days a week with the odd week being 5 days a week)

Offers in the region of £3000 (with a couple basic rugs)

*** Storm ***

Storm has had 6 weeks ground work/long lining to build her muscle and strength up ready for a rider and today was the day. 🩷💜

She was a really good girl, had to jog to keep up with Pollys marching 🙈😂. One happy pony. Owners and vets were unsure whether she could be ridden again. Still early days so slowly slowly. 🤞🙏

*** Pronto ***

Pronto looking pretty awesome at Little Downham at the weekend in the 90. Almost got his double clear but a harsh 20 at the first took that away from him.
31 dressage, clear sj.
Thank you to the Harris family for looking after barbie pony so well!

We are continuing our plan with him and if the right buyer comes along then he'll move on. But for now I'm continuing to be the proud owner. His day will come 💜🩷

*** Luna update ***

Imogen has been busy working her magic✨️

Week 1 mainly focusing on introducing Luna to the contact, staying forward into a soft and round contact was hard work, battle at first but towards the end of last week beginning to understand what was being asked.

After the weekend off Luna has come out on 🔥. Still needing to work on consistency but definitely more forward and moments of softness and roundness. First dressage competition booked already 😱. Luna is a quick learner and a very willing little mare. 💜 Well done Imogen 💪
