All Creatures great and Small was established in 1992 and became a registered charity in 2001. The sanctuary cares for unwanted, abandoned, neglected and abused animals. We currently care for approximately 107 animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, chickens, horses, geese, sheep, pigs and many more. This ensures a high standard of care for the animals, which is required in accordance with Animal Welfare Laws. ADCH Accredited

“It was 1 whole year since Odyn’s Gotcha Day on the 8th of June!

To celebrate we took him on an 8.5K hike around Wentwood Forest. I can’t believe how quickly that year has passed. He has been an absolute joy every single day.

For anyone out there who is hesitant about taking on a rescue dog, I can’t recommend it enough. Odyn is the sweetest boy, he is super smart and full of fun. He still loves to sleep upside down and his love of water does leave quite the impression in both my car and the house but I will never regret having him.

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity ACGAS! ❤️”

Our Story

All Creatures great and Small was established in 1992 and became a registered charity in 2001. We operate a programme of rehabilitation and re-homing for unwanted, abandoned and sometimes neglected or abused animals.

In 2017 we took in over 300 animals, the majority of which were placed in loving homes. In addition to our re-homing programme, we also have over 100 animals living here permanently, including chickens, horses, geese, rabbits, sheep, goats and many more!
