Did you know that walks aren’t the only thing your dog needs?

Enrichment is just as important as physical exercise, especially for puppies. Activities like lick mats, snuffle mats, puzzle toys, searching for food, and other enrichment games give your dog’s brain a workout too.

Mental stimulation helps dogs learn to focus, build confidence, and can be incredibly calming and soothing. In fact, many dogs will be more settled after 15 minutes of enrichment than after a long walk.

The key is balance. Dogs need opportunities to move their bodies and use their brains. When we meet both needs, we often see happier, calmer, and more fulfilled dogs.

What enrichment activities does your dog love most? 🐾

Confidence starts with fun 🐾💦

Swimming is such a great way for puppies to build confidence, explore new experiences, and just enjoy being dogs 🐶✨ No pressure, no perfection — just happy pups having fun in the water.

First walks are never about perfection 🤍🐾
They’re about building confidence, exploring the world at the puppy’s pace, and making every new experience feel safe and positive.

Today we focused on sniffing, choice, curiosity and connection — because confident dogs are built through trust, not pressure ✨

Loose lead walking isn’t about control. 🐾

You don’t need to pop the lead, yank, or intimidate your puppy into walking nicely beside you. Real heel work comes from connection, trust, and teaching your dog that being with you is the best place to be. 💙

Train the relationship, not the restraint. ✨

Tug isn’t “making dogs dominant” 🙅‍♀️

When done properly, tug can:
✨ Build confidence
✨ Improve engagement
✨ Strengthen your relationship
✨ Teach impulse control

The important part is making sure both dogs are happy, relaxed and choosing to re-engage in the game 💛

I LOVE seeing older dogs gently adjust their play style for puppies 🥹

POV: your puppy’s first garden centre visit 🐾🌿

Not every outing needs to be about obedience.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is slow down, let them sniff, explore, and take the world in at their own pace.

Sniffing builds confidence, reduces stress, and helps puppies learn about their environment 💛

The world is brand new to them — let them enjoy it.

Teething puppy? Give them a healthy outlet to chew before your skirting boards and shoes become the next victim 🐶

Chewing is natural, soothing, and helps prevent destructive behaviour when puppies are bored or teething 🙌

Save your house… give your pup a chew 😅

Ps: This isn’t rawhide

She’s never seen a stream before… and look at her go 🥹💧
This is your reminder that the “little things” are actually BIG moments for your puppy.
New sights, sounds, textures… it’s all part of building a confident, happy dog.

Let them explore.
Let them figure it out.
Let them be puppies. 🐾

This is what epilepsy can look like in dogs…

And it’s not always what you expect.

Seizures don’t always mean collapsing and shaking.

They can look like:
– full body fits (what most people recognise)
– staring into space or “zoning out”
– confusion or disorientation
– head shaking or twitching
– sudden wobbliness or loss of balance
– pacing or restlessness
– clinginess or unusual behaviour
– being sick or drooling

These are all different ways seizures can present.

Some are obvious. Some are incredibly easy to miss.

That’s why awareness matters.

If your dog is having repeated episodes like this, don’t ignore it. Keep track and speak to your vet.

Epilepsy can be managed—but only if it’s recognised.

Save this so you know the signs
