Now that you’ve met all of our team players, I thought it was time to introduce myself properly… so here’s me, Lydia and I honestly can’t wait to get this crazy idea started

I’ve worked around horses for over 20 years now (and remember… never ask a lady her age 🤫) in all sorts of settings; from breaking, to competing, to trekking, to teaching and now here I am with my wonderful team of ponies, ready to put all the hard work to the test and finally set up on my own.

⭐ Pros include:
• Knowledgeable, with a genuine passion for horses
• Can happily natter about anything, everything, and most of the time absolutely nothing
• Has no problem listing off my pros… but there’s a word limit to these things 💁‍♀️

Cons include:
• Hates the smell of Brussels sprouts, so unfortunately Dewines’ intake is now limited
• Has enrolled Zeb in Slimming World against his wishes
• Will absolutely make Jay work overtime
• Is sadly too big to ride Bob

In all seriousness I genuinely can’t thank everyone enough for all the support I’ve received so far. Starting this little riding school has been a dream for so long and I’m so excited to see what it grows into ❤️

Finishing up this round of introductions with the cutest and coolest guy around… Bob the Cob 🤍

Small but mighty, he’s an absolute little legend who will turn his hoof to any job. He always looks after his jockey and is more than happy to partner up and cause a little bit of mischief 👀

Pros include:
• Sweet by name and sweet by nature
• Puts his whole heart into whatever is asked of him
• Quite possibly the cutest little guy in the world

Cons include:
• Impossible to walk past him without stopping to give him at least a little attention
• Has a white tail… or at least he’s supposed to
• Unfortunately only comes in size Extra Small

Whilst we continue the search for a Bob that comes in inclusive sizing, we’ll let the kids make the most of him and his fantastic personality ❤️

The next introduction is the super gorgeous, super talented Jay

Age is just a number with him, he’s lived several lives already! From showing, to hunting, to helping with breaking babies, he’s done a bit of everything and is now ready for this new venture.

Pros include:
• Will always run up to greet you in the field
• Is easily bribed with treats
• Is the ultimate confidence giver who always looks after his jockey

Cons include:
• Doesn’t believe in overtime and will head towards the arena exit the second he thinks his shift is over
• Lives in hope that every hack will eventually involve a canter track
• Has been known to throw his feed bucket out of the stable in an attempt to secure a second serving (we can’t blame him for trying 🤷‍♀️)

He’s an absolute dream to have around and we wouldn’t be without him 💕

Next up for introductions is the cute and curvy Zeb 🐴💕

He’s Gentle (but not so giant), always looking to make new friends, discover new treats and is already stealing hearts wherever he goes.

Pros include:
• Ex model who is always ready for a photo opp (check out his spread In pony magazine)
• Expert cuddler, loves a fuss and will never turn down attention
• A true gentleman who always tries his best

Cons include:
• Lives with the big mares and is fully convinced he’s the same size as they are
• Not great at portion control
• Susceptible to sunburn

Not that she really needs an introduction, as many of you already know and love her, but introducing the very first member of our riding school team… Dewines ✨

Queen of the “been there, done it, wore the T-shirt”… and probably ate the rosette too.

A firm yard favourite and always a pleasure to have around.

Pros:
• Safe, sensible and knows her job inside out
• Will do just about anything for Brussels sprouts

Cons:
• Will absolutely make you walk to the top of the field to catch her
• Occasionally acts like she’s retired already
• Always smells faintly of Brussels sprouts

We wouldn’t have her any other way 🤍

✨ Hi everyone! ✨

Some of you may already know me, but for those who don’t — I’m Lydia 👋 and I’m so excited to finally introduce my little riding school 🐴🤍

I’ll be starting to take bookings from next week! Please bear with me while I catch up on messages, as I’m still recovering from Badminton and it’s taking me a little longer than usual 💕 I thought creating this page would be the easiest way to keep everyone updated!

📅 Lessons will begin from 18th May
(Currently private lessons only)

🐎 Lesson Prices:
• 30 minutes — £27
• 45 minutes — £37
Hours hack — £20

I’ll also be introducing the horses very soon 🐴✨
