Registered Veterinary nurse Awareness month

We want to say a huge THANK YOU to our incredible veterinary nurses 💙🐾

We have the great team of Ellie, Fiona, Lauren, Sophie and Courtney.

Our nurses do so much more than people realise. From helping with laboratory work, monitoring anaesthetics, caring for hospitalised pets, running nurse clinics, supporting our reception team, assisting our vets, and working out-of-hours — they are at the heart of everything we do.

Veterinary nurses are highly trained professionals who study hard to become Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs) and continue their professional development to maintain their title and skills throughout their careers.

They are compassionate, dedicated, hardworking, and truly the superheroes of our practice. Quite simply, the practice would not run without them.

⚠Due to recent fraudulent activity, we have had to make changes to how we process written prescriptions.

From this coming Monday, all written prescriptions will have to be sent directly to the pharmacy by us.

To request your pet’s medication, please follow these steps:
1.Request a written prescription from us, knowing the pharmacy you'll be using
2.Place your order with the pharmacy
3.Call or email us with your order number
4.Wait for your order to arrive

Please bear with us during this transition and allow a minimum of 3 working days for the process to be completed.

🚨 Important Update for Pet Travel 🚨

From April 22, 2026, new rules apply for travelling with pets from Great Britain to the EU or Northern Ireland.
🐾 So, what’s changed?
UK-issued EU pet passports are no longer valid for travel.
🐾 What do you need instead?
You must now obtain an Animal Health Certificate (AHC) for all pets (dogs, cats, and ferrets).
🐾 Key things to know:
✔ The AHC must be issued by an Official Veterinarian (OV)- don't panic, we have multiple OVs.
✔ It must be done within 10 days of travel
✔ It is valid for one trip only (a new certificate is needed for each journey)

📅 Planning a trip? Make sure you book your appointment in advance to avoid last-minute stress.

🚧 Car Park Closure Notice – Saturday Morning 🚧

Just a quick heads-up for all our clients on Saturday:

Our car park will be closed on Saturday morning due to essential maintenance.
👉 Please park in the next door car park and (the carpark before ours on the right) and walk through to reception via our car park.
🚫 There will be no vehicle access during this time, but walking through the carpark is ok.
⚠ We’ll have clear signage in place to guide you.
