What an absolutely fantastic day at Turn the Tide Teignbridge event!
Dawlish was once again treated to an incredible community event over the Bank Holiday weekend, with glorious sunshine, fantastic entertainment, and plenty for visitors to see and do throughout the day at Dawlish College.
From craft stalls and circus skills workshops hosted by our friends at Higher Beings, through to a brilliant selection of local charities, community groups, and independent businesses, the entire event perfectly showcased the amazing spirit and support behind this wonderful local cause.
Of course, the live entertainment on the Turn the Tide stage was a huge highlight of the day, expertly managed throughout by Barry & Rachel, who kept everything running smoothly from start to finish.
The line-up this year was absolutely outstanding!
Headliners Sound of the Sirens captivated the crowd with their trademark harmonies and stunning vocal talent, while Everay and her band opened the day with an incredible set of original music and covers.
Leona Whitfield brought plenty of energy to the stage with a fantastic set, Olivia Grace wowed the lunchtime audience with a confident and polished performance, and newcomers Shakalaka delivered an infectious mix of groove and Afrobeat that had the crowd dancing in the sunshine.
Crowd favourites Wreacked Again once again proved hugely popular with their sea shanty classics, before Hendrix By Name, Willow By Nature wrapped up the entertainment in style with a brilliant blend of original music and acoustic covers.
A huge well done to everybody involved in organising, supporting, performing at, and volunteering throughout the event — these community events simply couldn’t happen without the incredible amount of hard work that goes on behind the scenes.
Special thanks go to Dawlish Town Council Events for their continued support, and huge thanks as well to Barry who, alongside our own Rachel, stepped up to provide all of the artists with a fantastic package of sound support throughout the day.
As a small family business, we genuinely couldn’t do what we do without the support of amazing people around us, and it really is hugely appreciated.
Here’s a small selection of images from a truly brilliant day — and don’t worry, there are plenty of videos still to come!
