🐾 MANTRAILING UPDATE 🐾
Tonight’s new mantrailing group is officially CANCELLED.
As much as we love a trailing adventure, the current rain and thunder mean it's just not safe or fun for our dogs (or us!) tonight.
Stay dry, extra belly rubs for the pups, and we will see you all next week! 🌧️⚡️

🐾 Why Mantrailing Is Brilliant for Pet Dogs
Mantrailing isn’t just for working dogs — it’s one of the best activities for everyday pets. Here’s why owners love it:

Builds confidence Even nervous or unsure dogs light up when they realise they can succeed using their nose.

Creates calm, happy behaviour Sniffing is naturally soothing. A good trail session leaves dogs mentally satisfied and far more relaxed at home.

Strengthens your bond You and your dog work as a team. They learn to trust you, and you learn to read their body language like never before.

Perfect for high‑energy dogs Mantrailing burns mental and physical energy in a controlled, rewarding way — ideal for dogs who need a “job”.

Suitable for all breeds and ages From tiny terriers to giant shepherds, puppies to seniors — every dog can trail.

Boosts real‑world skills Focus, recall, engagement, and resilience all improve because your dog is doing something instinctive and fulfilling.

Put the work in it will also put hair on anyones chin 🤣

It is with a heavy heart that I share some deeply sad news with our community. Last night, I received a call that a dear friend, longtime client, and a true member of our extended family, Lee, passed away peacefully in his sleep.
Lee was someone who always had people’s backs, loved his family with everything he had. He dedicated many years of his life working on the frontline, serving others with the same dedication and loyalty he showed to everyone around him. Some of my favorite memories are the rest days we spent together out on the water, sharing laughs, taking the p**s out of each other and embarking on crazy adventures. We were just chatting the other day, which makes this loss feel all the more unreal.Losing someone the same age as me is a poignant reminder that life is incredibly short. Lee, you weren't just a client or a friend; you were family. I am going to miss our adventures more than words can say. Thank you for your service, your friendship, and the light you brought to our team and community.
Please keep Lee’s loved ones in your thoughts. Hold your people a little closer today. Rest in peace, mate. 🕊️

Day 6 of being trapped at home with a busted knee: I have officially entered my mad scientist era. 🧪🎨
I’m going so far out of my mind that I’ve started creating absolutely unhinged AI videos just to feel alive. I never thought I’d say this, but I cannot wait to come back to work before I accidentally create a digital monster.
Knee still hurts, but my brain needs a serious reality check. See you all soon! 🦿🤖

🐾 Myth Buster: Your dog doesn’t live in a 1950s sitcom! 📺❌

For decades, we’ve been told that our four-legged best friends see the world only in black, white, and shades of gray. But it turns out, that’s just an old myth!

Here is the real scoop on doggy vision:
🎨 They do see color (just different ones!)
While humans have three types of color-detecting cells (cones) in our eyes, dogs only have two. This means their color vision is a lot like a human with red-green color blindness.
What they see well: Blues, yellows, and grays.
What they miss: Reds and greens usually just look like yellowish-gray or brown to them.

⚽ The Red Ball Paradox
Ever wonder why your pup loses their favorite bright red ball in the green grass? To them, red on green looks like dark gray on dark gray! If you want to make their playtime easier, switch to a bright blue or yellow toy—it'll pop right out to them.

👁️ Their Superpowers
They might lag behind us in the color department, but dogs crush humans in other areas:
Night Vision: They have a special reflective layer (the tapetum lucidum) that lets them see incredibly well in the dark.
Motion Detection: They can spot a squirrel twitching from a mile away.

📸 Drop a photo of your pup in the comments and let us know: What color is their favorite toy? 👇
