Next up was this pretty girl, she is such a good girl, she is not overly keen on having her feet touched but we work together and compromise to get them done with minimal drama, lots of fuss and praise is the way, calm voices and cuddles keep everyone happy 😊 🩵🩷🐶🐕🛁✂️🐾

Today's first Dog was this handsome fellow, over the last 12 months I have been working on desensitising this lovely boy as he previously had a bad experience with another groomer. When I first met him I could not groom his back end at all, at each appointment we have worked slowly and calmly including some appointments sat on the floor to groom his back end as he felt more comfortable that way. Today was his best visit yet, yes we still had a little bit of fear at first bit then he actually stood calmly for the first time and allowed me to trim a around his back end quickly, it may not have been perfect still BUT for this boy it was a BIG win. He got lots of cuddles and treatos afterwards ❤️🫶🩵🩷🐶🐕🛁✂️🐾

My lovely Dottie Cat went to the vet today for her annual health check and Vaccinations. The vet said she could not believe she was 9 Years old, she was so impressed with her overall health and appearance. So, how do I keep her in such good condition? Here are some of my essentials for everyday life.

First of all a good quality food is essential I feed Dottie She has allergies to chicken so it is important to me that I know what is in her food, Canagan has a high meat content, and no nasty grains, additives or e.numbers, it also contains Taurine which is Vital for a cats survival. Cats are Obligate carnivores which means they can't survive without meat in their diet as this is the only source of Taurine.

Next up Bone Broth from I love this and since feeding it Dottie's all round health has generally improved and I have been able to reduce her steroid medication down too. Axels Elixir is also split into convenient bone shaped portions so you can easily just pop them out like ice cubes and defrost the right amount for your dog or cat without the guesswork.

Next my favourite 2 supplements from first the salmon oil, this is 100% pure Scottish salmon oil AKA liquid gold. Great for improving skin and coat health, eye health, heart health and so much more. Plus it tastes great so your cat or dog will live it too. Then the dental solution this is simply added to the drinking water and really helps to fight plaque and tartar and prevent it building up on your cat or dogs teeth.

Finally as part of our grooming routine I use the Buddycare Grooming Waterless cat shampoo and cologne combo, not only does it smell incredible but it leaves Dottie's coat soft and fluffy and free from dirt, grease and pollens which really helps with her allergies.

Now, the last dog of the day was lovely Winnie. Winnie's groom may not be perfectly polished, however she was a little upset during the groom and we had to work at a pace she was happy with, and ultimately just get the matts out. At the end of the day she is now matt free and that was my aim. ALWAYS I will put welfare over perfection. And what we have here is a dog who is comfortable, happy and relaxed. And hopefully over time we can build up her trust and confidence and I can keep my fingers in one piece 🫢🤭
