Well I can finally feel my feet again so it's time for me to recap on the whirlwind of the final weekend to the TICA 2024/2025 season.
I will apologise now if I forget anyone - it is not intentional and all help and support has been most gratefully appreciated.
It was a first for us organising a three day show and it's not for the faint-hearted but thankfully I'm supported by the most amazing team:
My co-show manager Diana Saunderson and Kim Norton Mark Norton Mandy Luby Sharon Roberts Donna Coupland Jane Allen Veronica Knight and her hubby Alaistair Knight pulled together to complete a flawless set up and deliver what I think has been our most successful show to date. Thank you all for the hours of hard work you put in.
Thank you to those people without whom the show couldn't function - our NAEC Stoneleigh event manager Lisa Aggett who not only keeps everything going but also donated two of the star raffle prizes, the sturdi and the cat wheel, our amazing penning company Penpals Penning, Dawn Peck who acts as my sounding board for all things hall management and makes fabulous teasers for the judges, our brilliant Master Clerk duo Claire Winman and Stef Winman, our hard working clerks Natasha O'Martin, Jelena Nakipova, Alastair Knight, Catherine le Trionnaire, Lesley Szwed and Rebecca Wagstaff, our knowledgeable and engaging judges Jane Allen, Veronica Knight, Nicki Fenwick-Raven, Sunny Lee, Woo-chan Shin, Olga Maria Dentico and Maria Bunina.
A very special thanks goes to our Junior Exhibitor cohort who were kept on track by Collette Waugh and Stacey Marie - they stewarded, covered the gate and helped pack down the show hall - what a set of little superstars they were! It's so exciting to see this group flourish and participate actively in the shows.
To Ivonne van Dreumel and Catherine and her husband M'Shing Goa who came early to offer help at set up and organised the clerking boxes and arrange the benching and to those who donated raffle prizes I don't have a full list but thank you so much for your support.
Our gratitude to our amazing corporate sponsors whose generosity provided all the goodies your cats are now enjoying - Royal Canin PowAir Hide & Seek London Kittilitt Catit Crystal Clear Pet Products Ltd CosyPosts and VetApp
Our ring sponsors for sponsoring our judges - SweetEyes Ragdolls & Maine C***s breeder Carole Kemp Diana Saunderson, Agata Koziorowska of Whiskeyeyes, Kim Volckaerts of Cooperdolls, Katzkybengals Lauren Collins and Stephanie Chamberlain in memory of Ch Tall Trees Topaz - your support is instrumental is helping to cover expenses.
Our rosette company Awardboard Wales Rosettes for the eye-catching designs and Claire Winman again for doing our plaques and judges books.
Thank you to our photographer The House Tiger Project and vendors Crystal Clear Pet Products, Cosyposts, Coventry Cat Groomers, Theta Jewellery, Gee Gee Gin and Nosterfeld Crafts - it is always wonderful to have you with us.
And finally last but by no means least our grateful thanks to all of you - your support of this first three day show in the UK for a long time was fabulous and your generosity in our collections for Frinton Feline Aid and fundraising via the raffle was unmatched - we managed to raise £1,500 in raffle and sturdi charms sales meaning a £300 donation for the rescue which will help with the mounting vet costs for the Siberian kittens being born to the mums the rescue took in recently.
The feeling of fun and friendship was present the whole weekend and we hope you all enjoyed yourself at this end of season celebration.
We have a short break now before we begin planning for our next show in December which will be 14 rings at Ryton on Dunsmore - more news to follow soon!
See you all soon 😘
