We have been owned by Devon Rex since 1991 and have enjoyed their wonderful companionship ever since. They are a wonderfully funny, quirky, active and fun loving breed with beautiful curly coats. All the girls we have here have been born at Maystar and most are Champion or Grand Champion winners. Queen Vee runs an amusing blog every Sunday and took over from King Slinky in 2016.The blog has run fr

om 2012 and gives any reader a good insight into the ups and downs of breeding first hand. Each day we share something of the Pride to the great wider world to entertain and make people smile.

HAPPY 10TH PURRDAY TO VIKTORI
10 years ago today this special little girl was born. A singleton to sweet Gracie.

Vee has had a tough little life, at 4weeks she had tiny surgery after her mummy bit her. Whilst at the vets, she contracted Ringworm which for her tiny age was horrible to get rid of. The drugs were powerful and this lead to skin allergies and Urticaria Pigmentosa after she had kittens. The hormones perhaps changed her genetics. She was an excellent show cat, winning two grand titles. Unfortunately, on her 3rd, she had a pyometra and was spayed the day before. Her cardboard cut out got a fake certificate and write up. So sweet of her judge.

She has an elongated epiglotis which swells up if she eats an Allergen and puts her into respiratory distress. She has been intubated several times for inhaling vomit into her lungs.

She is my complete world and I love her to bits. From a teeny age, she was addicted to me and I to her. She is quirky, hissy, dramatic, loving to me and very funny.

She was named after Queen Victoria on account of the Vee on her face and her hair style sweeping under her ears. We joke, saying, you were nearly called Cheveron!

2yr old Xiomara going in for milky bar from her mum, Gazoo. Gets a kick in the head, sits like a meerkat and nearly falls out of bed. Silly girls.

"Mae didn’t like the hot weather as you’ll see in one of the photos she almost looks like she’s given up laying on my kitchen counter!

She runs and pounces on Stevie and then he chases her back - and he gets told off!

She’s taken to sleeping in her cat tree, which she hasn’t been in for a long time And More recently Stevie’s 3 peaks bed that I take camping has become one of her favourites - much to Stevie’s disgust."
