We have 35 horses and ponies ranging from our 17hh thoroughbred to our shetland pony, suitable for riders of varying ability, with steadier rides and mounts for the nervous novice and forward going horses for those wishing to experience the thrill of riding horses. We are open 6 days a week (Our horses have

a well deserved day off on Mondays) and can take bookings in advance via our online booking system, visit moor-farm-stables.ecpro.co.uk to place your booking. Phone: 01676 540594

We offer:
Riding lessons for both adults and children; hacking with spectacular off-road riding; pub rides; pony club; children’s parties; NVQ 1,2, and 3 training; work placements, ABRS tests and exam training, BHS exams: one day events ( no horse - no problem –use one of ours); horse care training; clinics; low-level competitions; summer camps; first aid courses: human and equine; autumn hunting and hunting with the Atherstone Hunt. Moor Farm Stables is fully licensed and insured, British Horse Society (BHS) and Association of British Riding Schools (ABRS) approved and we are also a Pony Club Centre.

The horses weekly summer holidays have begun. Poppet, Socks, Ted, Rabbit, Horrace and Laddie are the first horses to go on their holidays, with more joining them tomorrow. They will come back throughout the week as and when they are needed.

An early start today so that we could get all the riding done before it got too hot thank you to everyone that came especially the riders who came for earlier lessons the horses have really appreciated an early finish.

While the sun is shining and we are all enjoying this lovely warm weather. There are a couple of things we all need to remember when around horses.

🐎 Appropriate footwear must be worn. Please no flip-flops 🩴 or sandals

🐎 If you are riding, please make sure your shoulders 👚 and legs👖 are covered. Please no vest tops🎽 or shorts🩳.

🐎 Don't forget to wear suncream. The horses will be wearing theirs 🌞

Today's task was to cart the hay out from the fields. The hay will now be stored under cover until needed to feed the horses and ponies over the winter.

Now that the fields have been cleared of hay, the horses will enjoy returning to their regular holidays, grazing on the abundance of grass.

Making hay while the sun shines 🌞

The team have been busy over the last couple of days cutting and baling this year's hay crop, that will keep all of our horses and ponies well fed over the next 12 months 🐴

A busy day on the yard at Moor Farm today. We had Jane from 608 Equine Vets visit to carry out routine dental checks for several of our horses. We also have been busy trimming, clipping and bathing lots of the horses and ponies. Many of our cob-type horses are being hogged, which entails removing their manes. With their thick manes gone, this helps them stay smart and clean and provides some respite from the heat. Who thinks Spud and Rosie look fabulous 👌 Keep your eye out when you're next here to see who else has had a hair cut 🐎

All of the above as well as all regular lessons are now on ecpro and are available to be booked as always activites are age and grade restricted if you cannot see something that's advertised above it may be you are not suitable if sessions are fully booked please add yourself to the wait list and you can always contact us via our email.

A fab two days of Pony Club Camp. Showjumping and Dressage practice yesterday. Best turned out competition this morning, followed by a hack out and an afternoon of mounted games. Everyone came away with a rosette and multiple badges, so a good 2 days had by all 🐴
