We’ve had an amazing response to our Walkies Adventure Days — thank you to everyone who has shown interest! 🌟

📅 Dates and times will be released this weekend, so please keep your eyes open.

⚠️ Spaces will be limited and it will be first come, first served.

But don’t panic if you miss the first one — we’ll be running more adventure days very soon!

These days are all about giving the dogs:

As the nicer weather is (slowly!) approaching… we’re thinking about something special at Walkies of Coventry 👀

🚐🐕 Doggy Day Trips!

We’re looking at running monthly adventure days through Spring & Summer where we take up to 10 dogs at a time in our mini bus for a full day out!

Think…
🌊 Beach days – splash, run, explore
🌿 Beautiful lake walks
🐾 Countryside adventures

The plan:
📍 Collection between 7-9am
📍 Drop off late afternoon early evening
🍽️ Fed & watered to your exact instructions
🚻 Plenty of toilet breaks
📸 Photos & videos of your pooch’s adventure
❤️ Supervised all day by the Walkies team

💷 Cost would be £25 per dog for the full day.

The idea would be to run these once a month and give your dogs a proper treat — something different, exciting and enriching.

Hi, this is my dog Percy and he’s been missing since around 11:30 in the coundon area. He is wearing a black harness and a leopard print collar. He’s a rescue so would be scared if anyone was to approach him and due to the weather he will be cold and wet too. He was last seen in coundon park but hasn’t been seen in the last 4 hours. If anyone sees him or has any information please let me know asap

🚨 IMPORTANT DOG HEALTH ALERT – COVENTRY 🚨

We’ve been informed that Coventry’s dog warden site has had to close due to confirmed cases of Parvovirus.

Parvovirus (often called parvo) is a highly contagious and potentially fatal virus, particularly dangerous for puppies and unvaccinated dogs. It spreads through infected faeces and can live on the ground, shoes, leads and surfaces for months.

❗ Symptoms to watch for include:
• Lethargy and weakness
• Loss of appetite
• Vomiting
• Severe diarrhoea (often bloody and foul-smelling)
• Fever or low body temperature
• Rapid dehydration

⚠️ If you notice any of these symptoms, contact your vet immediately. Parvo is a medical emergency.

🐾 What we’re advising dog owners right now:
• Avoid high-traffic dog areas where possible
• Do not allow puppies or unvaccinated dogs to mix with others
• Keep vaccinations fully up to date
• Clean shoes, leads and bowls thoroughly
• Do not walk dogs showing any symptoms

At Walkies, the safety and wellbeing of every dog comes first. We are keeping a close eye on the situation and taking extra hygiene precautions across all walks.
