Corwen Fresh Start for Hens Run entirely by volunteers, Fresh Start for Hens rehome ex commercial, egg laying hens and ducks who would otherwise go to slaughter at a relatively young age.

***Extra hens available!*** We have around had an extra 150 hens delivered to us today and most of them still need homes! If you missed out or would like to reserve please 1). Go to www.freshstartforhens.co.uk to register your details. 2). Send a photo of your coop (via email or WhatsApp - info is on registration page). 3). Send a donation via PayPal of £2.75 per hen (link on same page) ✔️. You will then be contacted to arrange a collection time and be given the address!

We have a pair of runner ducks needing a home (the other male in the photo has a home). They came together and have been with us about 6 weeks, we don’t know their exact age but no more than 1 year old. This pair are desperately looking for their own home, they are both lovely and very much deserve a home of their own 🥰. We have 3 gorgeous ducks here at Corwen collection point for rehoming. They’ve come to us with a group of other birds so we aren’t sure what their exact age is but the hens and other birds have been young and they seem healthy. Ideally would like them to go where there are enough girls for both boys to go too.

These lovely bantam boys were mis-sold as females to someone who is now trying to find them nice homes where they’ll be cared for. These boys are around 4 weeks old and still on heat at the moment. They can be dropped off by their current owner locally to Chester, Bangor, Dolgellau, Corwen areas. Please get in touch if you think you could offer any of these boys a home 🏠.

***COULD YOU GIVE THIS BOY A HOME?*** This boy is a 10 month old lemon Orpington rooster and is based in Anglesey. His owner tells us he is calm and friendly but just needs a new flock as her ladies are a bit too small for him!

If you have any room in your coop for a bantam silver laced Wyandotte boy please get in touch - these boys can travel to us on Friday ready for this weekends rehome - there are 5 in total needing homes 🏠 get in touch if you can help!

These boys are a similar size to the ex-commercial laying hens so not too big but not too small!

There are still lots of hens looking for homes on 17th May. These girls will only be around 72 weeks old when they leave their farm, many still lay really well and they deserve to go to lovely forever homes 🏡 🐔. Even if you can just take 2, every little helps! We are based in Bryneglwys between Corwen and Llangollen.
