****DUCKS NEEDING HOMES****We are rehoming hens this weekend but also have some ducks that need homes too! These are young ducks around 13 weeks old and in great condition. If you’d like to reserve please get in touch with the admin team via [email protected] and you can be added to our list!

***UPDATE - these ladies and their rooster have been reserved pending donation and photo approval - thank you everyone for sharing and sorry to anyone we haven’t managed to get back to yet ***CAN YOU OFFER THEM A HOME? 🏡

We have 5 lovely girls and their elderly rooster looking for a forever home. Unfortunately their lovely owner was moving house and couldn’t take them with her so they’ve come to us to find a new home. These girls are around 2.5 years old and Peggy the rooster (originally thought to be a boy!) is a 9 year old Pekin bantam. Peggy has been handled by children and has proven to be a lovely sweet boy the last few weeks we’ve had him.

The girls have been laying beautiful eggs and are very sweet. If you think you could offer them a home, please get in touch and drop us a message 📩. The usual donation of £2.75 plus some photos of your coop to ensure it’s safe for these guys will required 🙏🏻🫶🏼.

****📣 Any chicken people who are also horse people, please complete and share if you can! 📣**** 🐔 🐴

I am conducting research into management of laminitis as part of my veterinary degree at the University of Liverpool and I would really appreciate it if anyone who has any experience of caring for a horse with laminitis could complete it and share 🩺 ✅ . We want to hear your experiences and opinions - this is a great chance to raise what you felt was good and bad about your vets management or advice, and who else you found most helpful when your horse or pony experienced laminitis! Hopefully this research will be published and presented so please share your feelings/experiences if you feel able to!

I am trying to collect as many responses to help our future understanding of this terrible disease. Even if you can’t complete it, sharing would help massively 🙏🏻.

Horse owners and carers - we're inviting you to take part in our survey investigating approaches to treatment and rehabilitation of laminitis in horses and ponies. The study is being undertaken by undergraduate student Meg as part of her University of Liverpool veterinary degree. As every case of laminitis is different, we are keen to hear about your experiences of laminitis and its management. One of our followers is looking for a home for these 3 beautiful boys. They are gold laced Barnevelders and are around 3 months old. These boys have been hand reared, are very friendly and would make a lovely addition to any flock 🐔. Please get in touch if you think you could offer any of them a home 📧 📱.

📣WOULD YOU LIKE TO VOLUNTEER? 📣

We have hundreds of ladies arriving this weekend who are thankfully off to their forever homes 🫶🏼. We are reaching out for someone who would be able to pop along and help us on Saturday 23rd November. We will be unloading the girls from crates, feeding and watering them and then loading them into crates and boxes when their new rehomers arrive.

We will be rehoming until it goes dark but don’t have an ETA for the van arrival yet (usually around 11am/midday). We will provide tea, coffee, biscuits and cake! Any help would be fantastic, even if you can only be here to help unload the van and feed them which would take about an hour.

Bart is, now at his new home 🥰 Are you sitting comfortably.

This is the story of a little lad called Bartholomew. Bart lived with his friends, and slowly, they passed, leaving Bart alone.

Bart is a little sweetie and was cared for by his owner, who is now moving and cannot take.him, so he was taken to the vet to be put to sleep. Thankfully, the vet knows us well and gave us a call, and Bart is now with us at Huntingdon, and we are taking great care of him until we can find his new forever home. 🤍

📣📣***Hens and roosters looking for homes***📣📣📣

We have some lovely hens left from our rehome last weekend who are still looking for homes. These ladies are from a caged farm so are really enjoying being able to scratch around but are ready to find their forever homes!

We also have some lovely boys looking for homes too. Biscuit, Bourbon, Ginge and Horace are all bantams and have all been with us for over 12 months. These boys have been living together very peacefully and have never shown signs of aggression towards us. We took these boys in as a group of 17 and these are the last 4! They’ve also been with ladies as well and are a great size because they are a bit too small to bully or overwhelm the ladies!

We have been asked to take in another 5 big roosters before our next rehome on the 23rd November so if anyone is looking for a big boy we can absolutely help with that too.

We are based between Corwen and Llangollen in North Wales but there are lots of other collection points too (boys can possibly be transported to collection points nearer to you 🫶🏼).

These lovely boys are looking for a home 🏡. There are 8 of these bantam boys looking for homes as well as 3 bantam boys already with us at our collection point.

We think bantam boys can be the perfect roosters for ex-layer hens as they aren’t too big so less likely to be rough with your girls! Please get in touch if you think you can give any of these bantam boys a home. Our next rehome for ladies is the 20th July! 🐔
