Hatty and Hugo will be nearly ready for their forever home ! Hatty is a big girl , so does need space! Her husband is castrated and finishing his medication for infection. Both becoming very friendly , but now need someone with time to build their confidence.
Their new family must understand that they both take a while to settle , neither like change , and this includes cleaning out time = they sulk and will give a ground thump !
Both love to dig , so if indoors they must have a dig box . They're currently climatised outside and never shut inside a cage ... so this needs to follow in their new home and have space to jump , run and stretch at all times .
They are very bonded , and will Not split them !
They're now used to cats and dogs , children and noises that occurs outside ( they used to really panic )
No sniff of aggression , happily be groomed , nails cut etc .
Proof of set up required , donation fee of £50 required for the pair ( this goes towards vet fees and winter funds) . Rabbits will be under our safe for life policy !

I really do stress that you can never put a time scale on the process ! I have had rabbits bond in seconds , weeks and years . My longest bond was 2 years ! And I have one rabbit here ( Timmy) that has befriended every pen and every bunny loves him , but he lives with his wife !
Larry (on the left) is extremely aggressive, towards any living soul , and this stopped him in past to never have friends . It was his "ftont" he's actually scared and attacks before he can be attacked 😳. So he resides next to the oldies , Fudge and tulip .. they've taught him so much and he now chooses to be near them , eats next to them , lies down against fence ! He feels safe .. but i know he's still not ready to be interacted fully , and that's fine . Once any animal arrives , no pressure , just a pace of life they choose !

5 years have gone so fast ! ( warning , picture contains operation area )
This was Maggie, rescued from a dark lit caravan and she had self mutilated through loneliness and boredom. We fought hard to get her right ,wing amputated , collar , pain killers every 3 hours , prozac!!
She had 4 operations , but on the last one .. she had issues . Her body was too weak to endure anymore ! Western exotics agreed she had enough ... and we let her go !
She was 26 years old ... 25 of those years she was caged and unkempt!
In her final year she was pain free , part of family life , loved and even had lenny as a chum .
A stark reminder to anyone thinking of getting a parrot , they are literally toddlers and things go south very quickly, when needs are not met ! She resides in our memorial garden , now forever loved 😍

Just over a year ago , myself and friend ,rescued 10 felines! 2 mums and 8 kits! Kittens were umhandled, flea and worm infested , anemic and the mums were painfully thin after living off rice and scraps!
NOW..a year later , all kittens found a new family ( we did not charge .. just needed a promise that they would be neutered.. to which they all are) .
The 2 mums stayed with us , they had endured enough , and the weakest kitten stayed also , she needed more care .
They're not hugely affectionate, but they are there, the moment I am bed ridden and lie down on the exact place it hurts ! Still baffles me how they know !

Ginny pig really left a hole in my life , watching TV in bed alone , no wheeks when the fridge opened .. so I did a thing !
I opened my heart to Archibald, he is not a rescue and is a personal pet ( I state this as all his costs are mine) .
He will be having a friend once settled and castrated .
Momo the rat was my last pet , and that was years ago .. its difficult to bond to a rescue here as either aggressive, poorly or being adopted . So I now have a furry of my own !

Chino is doing so well 👏. He is getting his balance back and the gash in his head , has almost cleared up . He still has deep peck wounds on and under his torso and some flight feathers are started to bud .
He no longer goes manic at feed time , and even done a "coocoo" 🎶 🎵 this eve !

That was one warm day today !!
Some of our bunny residents enjoying the cool evening ! Rest of bunnies are all underground or in the wooded areas !

Our week so far ■■■■■■■■

Chino the pigeon ,has had a bath on his own ( bowl in his enclosure ) so I'm feeling quite chuffed that he's bouncing back 😀.
Released 2 frogs this eve after they were bought in with dehydration and attack wounds . We made a 7ft wildlife pond especially for these reasons , and they seem to be loving it !
Bunny with poorly leg had last of antibiotics and a willow homemade remedy.. safe to say , we've saved his leg , and he's no longer lame (just a couple more pockets to be lanced and beaded )
2 failed foster hamsters now adopted in their foster homes ( love this) ❤️ .
1 baby wild rat 🐀 , treated for uti and picked up by the lovely Lucy , which will join her tame wild ones . Annnnnd breathe! 😅😅

"Chino" ,reluctantly had his wounds cleaned , then a warm bath , to rid dried blood etc .
He's eating well , taking antibiotics and pain relief .. but unfortunately it's a long recovery !
Wings are not broken , but damaged tendons and most flight feathers are gone !

He's now in a more permanent enclosure, heat mat and all the food he needs , and fed critical care throughout daylight hours !

It never gets easier !
My little ginger ninja aka "ginny" , went to sleep in her favourite car bed , legs out back and passed over ! She had a very blessed transition , a full belly , cuddles and pamper yesterday , and a clean fluffy bed and her old age decided it was time !
If you've met ginny ,or seen posts , she was aggressive and opinionated ..more so as hers ought decreasing , hated other piggies , disabled , blind and partially deaf ! She was returned multiple times from being adopted as attacked humans !
BUT , I won her over , she became my pampered piggy ..I adored her !
See you again gingin , such a loved guineapig.
