As the practice has continued to grow, Rory has increasingly found himself overwhelmed with the volume of direct calls, messages, and requests coming through personally on a daily basis. Unfortunately, despite best efforts, this does create a risk of occasional missed messages or delays in replying whilst out on veterinary calls, travelling, or managing emergencies ⛑️

To help improve efficiency and ensure nothing gets overlooked, both Florence and Kerry will now also be actively monitoring and managing the WhatsApp Business account alongside Rory ✨

ROS Equine Veterinary Services is seeking a reliable Driver & Veterinary Assistant to support our ambulatory equine practice working with professional competition yards across the UK and occasionally internationally.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong equestrian experience who is confident handling horses in professional training and competition environments.

Role includes:
• Driving the veterinary vehicle between client yards
• Assisting with handling horses during examinations and treatments
• Supporting procedures such as lameness work-ups, imaging and treatments
• Preparing and organising veterinary equipment

⚠️ Important: Equine ambulatory work involves long days, early starts and significant travel. Work may involve travel across the UK and occasionally internationally.

Requirements
• Strong horse handling experience essential

ROS Equine Veterinary Services is seeking a reliable and capable Driver & Veterinary Assistant to support our ambulatory equine practice working with professional competition yards across the UK and occasionally internationally.

This is a practical, hands-on role ideally suited to someone with a strong equestrian background who is confident handling horses in professional training and competition environments.

The Role

The successful candidate will assist our veterinary team during visits to professional yards, training facilities and competition stables, helping ensure appointments run efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities include:
• Driving the veterinary vehicle between client yards
• Assisting with handling horses during examinations and treatments
• Preparing and carrying veterinary equipment
• Supporting procedures such as lameness examinations, imaging and treatments
• Maintaining organisation of veterinary equipment and the vehicle
• Helping ensure visits run smoothly and on schedule

This role does not involve office or administrative duties.

Working Pattern

Equine ambulatory veterinary work often involves long days, early starts and significant travel between yards.

The role may also involve travel throughout the UK and occasionally internationally to support veterinary visits to professional competition yards.

Applicants must therefore be flexible, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
• Strong horse handling experience essential
• Confident around competition horses and busy professional yards
• Full UK driving licence required
• Due to the insurance policy on our veterinary vehicle, drivers must be aged 25 or over
• Reliable, organised and professional manner

ROS Equine Veterinary Services Ltd is seeking a highly organised and experienced Office Administrator to join our growing team.

This role is initially to cover maternity leave, with the potential for a longer-term position for the right individual as the practice continues to expand.

We are looking for someone capable, calm and organised — who can help support the team, maintain structure within the office, and assist in overseeing day-to-day operations during this period.

You will work closely with the directors and existing team to:

✔️ Help coordinate daily administrative operations
✔️ Support and guide office staff where required
✔️ Manage veterinary diaries and scheduling

✔️ Assist with financial monitoring and company systems
