Look at gorgeous Roxy! 🐶
Roxy recently came into the practice for a laparoscopic (keyhole) spay.
In these photos, you can see Vet Natasha giving Roxy her pre-op health check, Nurses Livvy and Laura preparing her for surgery, and Natasha performing the procedure. Roxy had a lovely rest in recovery and is now doing fantastic back at home!
What is a Keyhole Spay?
Unlike a traditional spay, which removes both the ovaries and the uterus through a larger incision, a keyhole spay involves removing only the ovaries through tiny keyhole incisions using a camera and keyhole equipment. Research shows that removing just the ovaries offers the exact same health benefits including preventing unwanted pregnancies and reproductive cancers while keeping surgery as gentle as possible.
Key benefits include:
• Smaller wounds & minimal scarring
• Less post-op pain and discomfort
• A much quicker recovery time
