Part 2: Meet My Own Dogs 🐾

My next intro post has to be about my own dogs.

🖤 Rocky is my 6 year old Labrador cross. I adopted him as a puppy, he arrived at the rescue I worked at, abandoned at Christmas. As my first ever dog, he has a special place in my heart and has taught me so much.
He’s loyal, loves napping (especially under his heated blanket), food- obsessed and is brilliant at scentwork with an incredible nose.
Rocky has had a tough few years, undergoing jaw surgery to remove a tumour and later two leg surgeries for a ligament injury, but he’s bounced back amazingly.

💛 Nellie is my 18 month old working line Labrador. I bought her as a puppy to train and work as a gundog, and she’s a natural.
Unfortunately, we discovered she had a spinal condition, and she underwent surgery a few months ago.
She’s recovering well and should be back to doing what she loves next year.
Nel is energetic, adores other dogs (sometimes a little too much) and loves to retrieve or hold anything in her mouth- the genetics are strong!

Hopefully you’ll see more of my two on groups walks once they’re fully recovered 🖤

After gaining some new followers recently, I thought I’d do a series of posts about me & my business.

Part 1: A little bit about me!

I have worked with animals for 10 years, but my love for them began in childhood. I grew up with cats, loved walking friends’ dogs and I spent most weekends at the stables.

I went on to study at Reaseheath College, where I completed my Technical Baccalaureate in Animal Management. Alongside the theory, I gained hands-on experience at the onsite zoo, working with species such as lemurs, meerkats and tapirs (just to name a few!)

Since then I’ve built a wide range of experience in equine rescue, catteries, animal rescue and boarding kennels. I have a strong interest in canine behaviour and training, and I’ve completed several online short courses. I’ve also shadowed two professional dog trainers to continue developing my skills.
