Another Success Story 🐾
This is Wendall the Sassy pug 💜

Her owner had noticed a real decline – stiff elbows, weak back legs, slowing down, short walks, and relying on her dog buggy.

After just two Emmett treatments, Wendall’s enthusiasm returned — she’s now going on longer walks, racing ahead of the younger pug, and even ran for the first time in years! 💨

✨ Seeing progress like this never gets old.

If your dog or cat is struggling with mobility or pain — I’m here to help.

😊 Happy Monday from Nurse Paws! 🐾

UPDATE: Matilda is Holiday & Kayak Ready!

This is sweet, laid-back Matilda. 💜 When she came to Bollington Veterinary Centre, she was struggling—barely wanting to walk, lying down most of the day, and hadn’t played in months. Diagnosed with Spondylosis and arthritis in her elbows and stifles, she needed a helping paw.

Together, we created a gentle but effective plan: a combination of pain relief, Emmett Therapy, hydrotherapy, and support from the weight loss clinic. Her dedicated owners also set a special goal—to get Matilda mobile enough for her favourite thing… going on holiday and getting back on the kayak! 🚣‍♀️🐾

A few weeks in, she was already showing more energy, managing longer walks, and even asking to play again. And guess what? She made it on holiday—and back onto the water! 💦🎉 Mission kayak: achieved!

Her journey’s not over, but we’re so proud of how far she’s come.

Is your dog slowing down, in pain, or not quite themselves? Get in touch and let’s see what we can do—together—to help them feel better again.💜🐾🤗

This Week’s Myth:
"A dog’s chronic pain is just a medical concern, and has nothing to do with their behaviour."

FACT: A dog’s chronic pain not only affects their physical health but also has a significant impact on their behaviour.

Chronic pain can cause dogs to become more irritable, anxious, or withdrawn, and they may show signs of frustration when they are unable to engage in activities they once enjoyed.

Pain can also make it difficult for them to perform basic tasks, like walking, eating or playing, which can result in changes in their usual behaviour. In some cases, they may become more aggressive or start avoiding certain situations altogether, as they associate them with discomfort or pain.

This connection between physical discomfort and behavioural changes underscores the importance of addressing both the medical and emotional needs of dogs in pain.

Let’s bust these myths together and make life better for our pups! 🐕✨
