🐾❤️ MARLEY HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME! ❤️🐾

Just look at that gorgeous, happy little face! 😍🐶

We are absolutely delighted to announce that our lovely Marley has gone off to his forever home! 🏡❤️

Marley is a little character with a big personality, and all we ever wanted was to find him a home where he would be loved, understood and given the chance to enjoy life.

And now his next chapter begins! 🥰

There’s nothing quite like seeing one of our rescue dogs head off to a loving home. It’s what makes all the hard work worthwhile.

A huge thank you to Marley’s wonderful new family for opening their hearts and home to him.

Be happy, little Marley! Enjoy every minute of your new adventure. You’ve got your very own family now! ❤️🐾

🐾 Looking for their forever homes – Congleton Dog Rescue 🐾

🖤 George – black Saluki cross, around 15–16 months
George travels really well and is raw fed. He still needs some work on his recall and would benefit from a home happy to continue his training.

🤎 Larry – black and tan Saluki cross, 16 months
A happy-go-lucky boy who loves his toys! Larry walks nicely on the lead and is clean in his kennel. He’s looking for an active home with plenty of exercise, play and continued training. No cats.

🤍 Fly – white Saluki cross, 18 months
A lovely, chilled-out boy with a gorgeous temperament. Fly is good on the lead, clean in his kennel and good with other dogs.

🖤 Darcie – crossbreed, one year old
Darcie can be a little unsure when she first meets you, but once she knows you, she’s an affectionate little fuss pot! She needs some help with her lead training and a patient home where she can build her confidence.

🐾 Coco Pops – Yorkshire Terrier cross Chihuahua, around two years
A friendly little boy who is house trained. Coco Pops needs help with pulling on the lead and his recall, plus a secure garden as he has previously escaped. He needs an experienced, adult-only home willing to work with us on his resource guarding around food and the sofa. His needs will be discussed fully with suitable applicants.

💕 Joining us on Saturday: Titch – Jack Russell, around 12–18 months
This gorgeous young boy will be joining the rescue on Saturday. We’ll share more about his personality and the home he needs once he’s arrived and we’ve had time to get to know him.

🎄🐾 COULD YOU HELP A DOG THIS WINTER? 🐾🎄

We’re appealing for donations to keep our kennel dogs cosy and help spread a little Christmas joy. ❤️

We’d be very grateful for:

🛏️ Clean dog beds in good condition
🧣 Blankets, fleece throws and towels
🎾 Dog toys
🦴 Unopened, in-date dog treats
🎁 Filled shoeboxes or individual items for our Christmas shoebox appeal

Our shoeboxes will help dogs in rescue and dogs whose families are struggling to afford a little present this Christmas. Even one small gift can help. ❤️

🐾🎆 FIREWORK SEASON — LET’S KEEP OUR DOGS SAFE 🎆🐾

With Bonfire Night approaching, now is the time to plan ahead. Fireworks can happen over several evenings, and for some dogs the bangs and flashes are frightening.

A little preparation can help ❤️

🐾 Walk before dark and be home before fireworks begin.

🏡 Check doors, windows, fencing and gates are secure. Make sure your dog’s microchip contact details and ID tag are up to date.

🛏️ Create a cosy, quiet retreat with familiar bedding. Let your dog choose whether to use it, and never force them out of hiding.

📺 Close curtains and play familiar TV or gentle music to help soften the noise.

❤️ Stay nearby where possible. If your dog seeks comfort, calmly reassure them — it’s absolutely fine to comfort a frightened dog. Never tell them off for being scared.

🦴 Offer a favourite toy, chew or food activity if they’re interested, but don’t worry if they don’t feel like joining in.

🐕 Supervise toilet trips in the garden, using a secure lead if needed. Never force your dog outside during fireworks or take them to a display.

🩺 If your dog struggles, speak to your vet now. They can discuss suitable support and medication where needed don’t wait until the night itself.

For newly adopted dogs, keep things quiet and predictable while you learn how they cope.

🐾 MEET GEORGE 🐾❤️

George is a lovely, friendly boy of 17 months who is looking for a loving home.

He loves people, enjoys his walks and is always pleased to make new friends. He is house-trained, good in the home, walks well on a harness and travels really well.

George enjoys meeting other dogs and has been on walks with them. Like many dogs his age, he can get excited when saying hello, but settles once the initial excitement passes. He has also happily enjoyed fuss from children on his daily school walks.

He’s an active boy who loves a good run and has a high drive—especially when a squirrel catches his eye! His recall still needs work, so he will need continued training, with a long line or secure exercise area while he learns.

We’re looking for an active, experienced home that can offer companionship, a consistent routine and continue his training. His new family will need to give him time and space to settle in and feel at home.

George is raw fed and his vaccinations are up to date. He has lots of love to give, and we’d love to find him a home without a lengthy stay in kennels. ❤️

💙 Gorgeous George is coming back into our care 💙

Through no fault of his own, and no fault of his family, George will sadly be returning to us.

His family have loved and cherished him, and this is a heartbreaking situation for everyone involved. Sometimes, despite all the love and commitment, circumstances mean a dog has to return to rescue.

Please show his family kindness and understanding. We’ll welcome George back with open arms and make sure he has all the love and support he needs. 💙🐾

🐾❤️ A Little Update on Darcie! ❤️🐾

Oh my goodness, what an absolute little sweetheart this girl is! 🥰

When Darcie first meets you, she might give you a little grumble, just while she works out who you are. But once she’s comfortable, what a transformation!

She came and sat with me and my Car while I had something to eat

She is an absolute fuss pot! ❤️ She loves attention, gets so excited to see you, and her little tail is up and wagging away. She’s such a happy, affectionate girl who just wants to be loved.

Darcie does need a little work on her lead manners, but with some patience, consistency and gentle training, she’ll soon get the hang of things.

I genuinely think Darcie is going to make somebody the most fabulous little companion. 🏡❤️

She’s got so much love to give, and underneath that initial little grumble is an absolutely gorgeous personality.

Someone is going to be very lucky to have this little girl in their life! 🐾💕

🐾❤️ BENNY HAS A NEW NAME… MEET FINN! ❤️🐾

We’ve received a lovely update from Benny’s new family, where he’s now known as Finn—and it’s put a huge smile on our faces! 🥰

🛏️ He settled into his crate at bedtime, and his family didn’t hear a peep all night.

🐕 He met dogs on lead this morning and interacted beautifully.

🌳 He’s already enjoyed a visit to a secure dog field with his new companion, Rosie!

Finn is still finding his feet and can be a little enthusiastic at home, so there will be plenty of time for both dogs to rest as they get used to life together. It’s early days, but this is such a lovely start. ❤️

His family described him as a lovely dog and a credit to us at CDR. Those words mean so much to everyone who has cared for him.

We’ll miss you, Benny boy, but we’re so happy to see you beginning this next chapter as Finn. Thank you to your new family for giving you this opportunity—and for keeping us updated. 🏡🐾
