The black boxes aren't much to look at but we remain hopeful that visiting Swifts (Apus Apus) will one day find and use our new Swift boxes. So far this year, we haven't seen much movement around the two boxes albeit Swifts can be seen in the air around the garden. 🤞

We are delighted to be able to support a local initiative to provide nesting boxes for these beautiful summer visitors as part of the Berwickshire Swift Project.

Oh, and we'll be painting the peeling green door later in the summer should anything be nesting!

Looking forward to a weekend at Duns Castle Estate celebrating the life of one of the true greats of motor racing - Mr James Clark Jr OBE, better known as - Jim Clark

In 1965 Jim completed a remarkable treble in winning the F1 Championship, the Indiannopolis (Indy)500 in the US, and the Tasman series in Australia and New Zealand

To mark the 60 year anniversary of this achievement The Jim Clark Trust have organised a weekend of celebration.

We love seeing all the different types of four legged visitors 🐕 who come to stay at Hope Park West with their two legged owners - so going to Border Union Dog Show is a real highlight for us.

The Border Union Championship Dog Show are delighted with this year’s entry of just over four and a half thousand dogs🐾

There will be over a thousand Gundogs, over four hundred and fifty terriers, and just under a thousand Working and Pastoral dogs. Judging will begin at 9am on both Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th June.

There will be numerous Trade Stands with a wide range of dog foods, dog coats, dog-grooming products, special dog baths and even herbal remedies for dogs. As well as food and drink outlets. The show promises to be an interesting and entertaining weekend for all🐩
