Pickle the Pembroke Welsh Corgi came to visit yesterday for her 1st vaccinations and was super brave 🌟

In case you haven't come in to see us recently.. we've had a glow up 😍🌟

What's new;

🌟 Dedicated cat waiting area, to keep your feline friends calm during their visit
🌟 A new colour scheme
🌟 We've done away with the number 4 and we are now Vets FOR Pets which is displayed in our illuminated sign
🌟 A new, non-slip mat for the weighing scales
🌟 A 'proudly locally owned' sign, featuring the joint partners of the practice

We are still waiting for some new chairs, and a couple of posters to provide information including price lists 💸

⚠️ Extreme Heat ⚠️

❌️ Please do not walk your dog in this weather
❌️ Do not leave them in the car, even with air con running
❌️ If you do not think you can safely get to us, please cancel non-urgent appointments

At home you should:

✅️ Provide a cool, shady spot for pets to relax
✅️ Have an air con unit/fan in pets direction
✅️ Have cooling mats for them to lie on
✅️ Provide plenty of cool, clean water to drink

⚠️ If you are concerned your pet cannot cool themselves down, contact us ASAP ⚠️

A couple of weeks ago we had a visit from the children at Bertie's Nursery 🧸

They were learning about 'Everyday Superhero's, we were so honoured they wanted to visit our practice and learn about what we do.

The children had a great time wandering around the practice, taking a look at some x-rays, and meeting nurse Amy's dog, Hela! We also answered some of their questions 💬

Some of the children even said that after their visit, they would like to be a Vet when they grow up 🥰

The weather fur-cast is high today! 😎🌞

While we might love to sit out in the sun, your four-legged friend maybe not so much.

Take care with larger breeds, long-haired or brachycephalic (short-nosed) breeds. Offer cool water, shade and keep an eye on them that they're not getting too hot out there!

Also NEVER leave your dog in the car in this weather 🚗
