Behind the scenes over here it’s all training, planning and filming.

I’m currently deep in the creation of my online puppy course, launching in January.
There are 40 videos to film (yes… forty 😅), so if I look slightly dog-hairy and mildly caffeinated, you’ll know why.

This course is being designed so you can start to train your puppy calmly at home, in real life, with weekly check-ins to keep you supported, consistent and confident. No overwhelm. No chaos. Just solid foundations and a dog you genuinely enjoy living with.

From the end of January, I’ll also be opening up residential training places — where your dog comes to live with me and train properly, in a home environment, with structure, kindness and clarity.

And as if that wasn’t enough… I’ve got so many ideas for spring, including making the most of the dedicated training field just a couple of miles from me.

There is so much to look forward to — and I cannot wait to help you build the bond and the dog you’ve always wanted.

Message me if you’d like to talk through the best training option for your dog — whether that’s a puppy, an adolescent whirlwind, or something more bespoke. Spaces will be limited, and I’d love to help you plan ahead.

As a trainer who loves nothing more than a puppy or young dog, I know that message—the sweet “we absolutely love him, but…” that lands a few days/weeks after a puppy arrives home.

And you can already finish the sentence.

But he barks.
But he nips.
But he cries at night.
But he’s… “a lot.”

And it tugs at you because none of this is a problem. It’s a puppy trying to understand a brand-new world without its mother or littermates—overwhelmed, excited, confused and scared, sometimes all at once. Completely normal.

But we live in a world that loves “easy.”
People want the Instagram version—the calm, tidy, obedient eight-week-old who looks like they’ve done a six-week course already.

Behind every well-rounded dog is someone who showed up with patience, boundaries and consistency. Puppies aren’t born knowing—they’re born ready to learn.

Some people think an “easy” puppy is a good one. The truth? Every puppy is good—they’re just new. And new things are messy before they’re magical.

Raising a puppy is real life. Sleepless nights, puddles, tiny teeth… and the start of the strongest bond you’ll build.

And this is exactly why committing to training is so rewarding. It’s not just about shaping your puppy—it’s about learning about yourself. Training shows you your patience, your triggers, your resilience, your softness. Puppies hold up a mirror, and you grow right alongside them.

So ask yourself honestly:
Am I ready for the learning curve—for them and for me?

Because these little souls deserve someone who’s all in.

Daisy Doodle Bug is officially halfway through her training residential, and today was one of those golden days that remind me exactly why I adore this work.

Progress with dogs is never a straight line. Some understand our cues as if we’re speaking the same language from day one; others simply need more time, more patience, and a gentler pace before things begin to make sense. And that’s absolutely normal. People rush to say their dog is stubborn - but the truth is that it’s our communication with the thats the problem. One size doesn’t fit all.

Today, Daisy had her breakthrough.

In the pouring rain on the village green, something clicked for her, my communication with her made sense. She softened, she connected, and suddenly we were moving together with ease — a bit like a well-timed dance. Her resistance melted away and in its place was joy, curiosity, and a real willingness to engage.

She glided her way through her “doing nothings,” bounced back to me on her recalls, proudly carried her new retrieving toy, and chose to stay close. That choice is everything.

Moments like this are why I do what I do.
They’re the proof that patience works, that dogs learn in their own time, and that trust is built, not rushed. Trust is earnt every single day.

I can’t wait to see how the rest of the week pans out. ❤️
