The weather is beautiful, but can be challenging for our equine companions. Heatstroke in horses is a serious condition where their body temperature rises dangerously high and can be life threatening if left untreated. Signs include:
-Rapid/shallow breathing
-Heavy sweating
-Increased body temperature
-Muscle weakness and tremors
-Lack of coordination
-Dehydration
-Restlessness or lethargy
-High heart rate
-Redness to the tongue
-Collapse
Keep your horses safe in the hot weather and seek veterinary advice if you are concerned.

Teddy and Dolly wanted to investigate our dental kit. Donkeys teeth need the same care and attention that horses do, though Dolly has a little while to go before her first dental.

This lovely pair were offering moral support for their pal while he had his teeth done ❤️ little Biscoff then continued to add "support" to Georgia while she was cleaning all the kit but we all know she loves a helping hand from a pony!

It's been Bertie's turn to have an injury this month, which has really increased my empathy for those of you with injured horses off games at the moment.

But with the help of the brilliant Tamsin at Freedom Vet Rehab, he is back on track 🤩

Not sure Bert loved the treadmill though 🤣
