What to expect:
During the course you will be training your dog the 3 elements of scent detection which are : -
Scent Identification of a non food item
How to search novel items for a scent
How to indicate to us when they have found the scent
We will be taking you through a number of search areas including pipes, chairs, bags, vehicles and novel environments as well as taking part in a mock trial to give you an idea of what to expect at a UK Sniffer Dogs trial.

What you’ll need:
Red Kong (must be red by the Kong brand).
Your dogs favourite treats cut into small pieces.
A treat pouch or a pocket.
What you’ll get
A mini scent detection starter kit
A bronze level progression book (for continuation classes after the initial course to progress through the bronze level grades should you wish).
A bronze level certificate and rosette on completion of the course.

The “dog ice bucket challenge” is a disturbing new trend that turns our loyal companions - our trusted family members - into the punchline of a joke they don’t understand.

Please don’t take part.

Doing this risks damaging your dog’s trust in you. It can lead to fear, anxiety, behavioural issues, and even physical harm.

No amount of likes or social media attention is worth scaring or hurting your dog.

If you see friends sharing or considering it, please speak up, sometimes people just don’t realise the impact.

Charley won’t be taking part—why on earth would I throw a bucket of cold water over her just to impress strangers online?

For those of you that may not be sure if scent work is for you or your dog… I’m offering a taster session at .

That way you can try it before committing to a course! The scent work will involve food based search’s, an item your dog is hardwired to search for already and will give you an idea of the fun you and your dog could have during the bronze level course ☺️🐾

The taster session will be on Thursday 1st May at 5.30pm for an hour. During the session I will take you and your dog l through a few food based search exercises and give you some more information about what the bronze course involves. There will be space for 4 dogs and will cost just £5 each.
