For the Chester area...Muddy Paws takes dogs on walkies, dog days out and feeds cats/small pets The guilt of leaving them 'home alone' can put many people off dog ownership, but a caring dog walker can be the answer to any problems....as well as

protecting your sofa from a bored, frustrated pooch pal!! Muddy Paws can help with walkies plus furry friends on the local parks, canal towpaths and cycle-ways nearby....as well as our own Muddy Paws paddock in Great Barrow. We also visit forests and beaches when time allows. As a dog owner of a rescued (Dog's Trust) crossbreed Toffee from a small pup, I have hands on experience of dog ownership. The ways they have...early training, barking at the door knocking, chasing cats (or scared of cat's if it's Toffee!), sniffing dubious substances during walks and finding EVERY muddy puddle...these are all dog characteristics that I am well used to. I carry a doggy First Aid kit on all walks. Walks will be tailored to individual preferences. I am fully CRB checked (police records check). I hold liability insurance that will protect owners, the public and your dog during walkies. I am a member of NARPSUk (National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers) and abide by their approved Code of Practice. I am more than happy to feed cats and other small animals in the home over holidays. I have always found my own cats happier in the home during my own holidays and, as long as someone comes in to feed, clean litter trays, play and cuddle, your absence need not be too stressful for them, and other small pets like rabbits, guinea pigs, fish (no cuddling though!) and hamsters.

Friday walkies…

Back to more normal temperatures, but still beautifully warm, we stuck with the Paddock first walk…I wasn’t feeling very people’y today 😂
All good though…Marley carried his ball all over, Dave rolled on all his itches, Amber mooched in the buttercups and Sky tried to get them all to chase her 🙄…and the best bit?…no people 🙌😆

Next up, I was going to bring Sky, but decided couldn’t be bothered with the long lead/mad adolescent combo, so delivered her back to HQ…and Freddy was a flat refusal to come out the door(he’s been poorly of late, and it’s still hot, he just wasn’t feeling it 🥲), so he stayed home with his Uncle Ray ☺️…and so just me and Fern went for a field trip to Saighton 🙌 A bit overgrown, lots of buggy things 🐞, very nice though…AND… there was traffic to be checked on, so all good!! 😂

Thursday walkies…The heatwave is nearly done 😅…but it was a warm one again today, so we Paddocked nice and privately 😂

Wednesday walkies…

Still boiling 🥵…I decided on a Paddock day today…mainly to ensure there were no ‘there’s Cruella deVille walking dogs on a day like THIS!! Should be banned…’ type comments that are rife on Facey as soon as the sun comes out proper 🙄

I think that with a little thought and precaution, it’s perfectly fine…it’s the people dragging them along hot pavements, throwing balls on no shade parks, left tied up in full sun outside a shop, and don’t even mention the ‘left in cars on car parks’ ones 😡…THEY need a slap! 👋

Anyways…Dave was back 🙌…and we Paddock’ed. Lots of water…lots of happy doggos 😊

Hot again tomorrow…then we have a few less degrees 🔥➡️☔️

Monday walkies…

Holy Guacamole!!!…it was hot today 🥵…but lots of the crew were off half-term’ing, a couple cancelled for a day of lying on the kitchen tiles…and we managed the rest using fans, water, shady trees, cool coats, more water and anything cold we could find 😂

Wilson and Sky first…and it was cool in the woods…perfect foraging ground…we foraged 🙂

Then, plans to go to the Paddock went out the window 😂 as I decided Rivacre Valley was just as close for the Saughall’ers, and much more interesting!! 🤨 It’s was a perfect choice…cool and peaceful…we got wet 😂…just paws in Sherlock’s case 🐾 but still a fab cool down ☺️

Walk 3 was a close to home trip to Caldy Valley for Angel and Chloe. The temperature was soaring by now…we kept things as simple as possible 🤗 Ange kept sneezing on the little fluffy seed things that are covering the valley…but Chloe thought she was a bit of a wuss. When Chlo arrived from Romania a couple of years ago, she was sneezing constantly. The vets tested her for all the nasties 🦠 but nothing 🤷🏼‍♀️ Eventually, after about 5 months, they found a 2 inch twig lodged in her nose up high!! 🤯…I mean THAT deserved a sneeze for sure!! 😳

Here’s the annual ‘it’s flipping hot’ post 🥵…and I know you know that I will ALWAYS take precautions for the dogs that are with me…but PLEASE DO cancel if you feel it’s too much for your dog. THEIR SAFETY is paramount…you will not be charged 👍

Today we are in the high 20’s…which will feel hotter, and even more so to them.

Fans are on in the van, cool mats down….we will only go to the Paddock for walk 2&3…where we have shade and water. No balls will be thrown (sorry ball lovers 🙈)…we will sniff, roll about, dig, bark at random people and mooch 🤗 Walks will be cut a little shorter…just to get them back to the kitchen tiles asap 🥶

You know your dog best…for ‘home alone’ dogs I can do a pop in garden visit if you prefer…just tell me what they need and I will sort it ✔️

Friday walkies & CatClub…

Starting in Mollington today with Anne’s cat customers…and there was no sign of them 😂, but brekky was served for when they’d had enough sunbathing 😃 And then on to Ollie’s, who was there as always, and we had a few Dreamies (which I suppose is like having sweeties for breakfast…but hey, at Ollie’s age you’re allowed ☺️

Sky was off up Moel Famau with Mr MP today…so just me and Wilson next 😊 We took a stroll past all the left behind jumpers at Queens Road Park (kids are so ditsy 🙈🙄) and were glared at by the squizzers 🐿️…but Wils wouldn’t harm one…he loves EVERYONE 🥰

And just me, Wilson and Marley next…only one place to go to keep them happy in the sunshine…The Gowy 🎉 Woodland, meadows and the all important river 💦…they made full use of the facilities 🏊‍♀️💦

Max 🐈‍⬛ is back to CatClub for a few days…and, being a shy boy, we managed a quick pic on the staircase then left him alone 😂…and Ollie couldn’t decide which litter tray to use later…such a hard life when you’re a pampered puss cat 😂
