For the Chester area...Muddy Paws takes dogs on walkies, dog days out and feeds cats/small pets The guilt of leaving them 'home alone' can put many people off dog ownership, but a caring dog walker can be the answer to any problems....as well as

protecting your sofa from a bored, frustrated pooch pal!! Muddy Paws can help with walkies plus furry friends on the local parks, canal towpaths and cycle-ways nearby....as well as our own Muddy Paws paddock in Great Barrow. We also visit forests and beaches when time allows. As a dog owner of a rescued (Dog's Trust) crossbreed Toffee from a small pup, I have hands on experience of dog ownership. The ways they have...early training, barking at the door knocking, chasing cats (or scared of cat's if it's Toffee!), sniffing dubious substances during walks and finding EVERY muddy puddle...these are all dog characteristics that I am well used to. I carry a doggy First Aid kit on all walks. Walks will be tailored to individual preferences. I am fully CRB checked (police records check). I hold liability insurance that will protect owners, the public and your dog during walkies. I am a member of NARPSUk (National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers) and abide by their approved Code of Practice. I am more than happy to feed cats and other small animals in the home over holidays. I have always found my own cats happier in the home during my own holidays and, as long as someone comes in to feed, clean litter trays, play and cuddle, your absence need not be too stressful for them, and other small pets like rabbits, guinea pigs, fish (no cuddling though!) and hamsters.

Friday walkies & CatClub…

A bit grey above ☁️ this morning, and P**i was waiting in the window for breakfast ☺️…we served it as quickly as possible!! 😺

Dave joined us for morning walkies as he had an appointment later (he’s a busy boy!)…and a nice trek around the grassy fields of the Countess Park’s far end with Toffee and Freddy was a perfect start 🤗

With half the crew on holiday this week, it was as just me, Freddy and Marley next…and a tear around (Marley mostly…me and Freddy just trotted in his wake 😂) at Hoole Park. We found a blue ball 🔵…but Marls wasn’t interested…greeny yellow only for him 🎾

And still cloudy at Farndon to end the week…but it’s a lovely trek…and there is ample traffic watch opportunity by the bridge…Fern was happy 😆

Max, the cat that needs no cuddles 😹 is back in CatClub…but wasn’t around for a photo tonight…and Bear & P**i are still trying to get in the kitchen 😹

Thursday walkies & CatClub…

After CatClub breakfast/litter tray clean/chat with Bear and P**i about how the decorating was going on 😂…we headed up to Etna Park where the sun had returned 🙌, but in a more manageable, more hazy with clouds way than last week’s sauna conditions 🥵 Toffee, Wilson, Dizzy, Pedro and Frida sniffed at the (now dead through lack of water 🙈) wildflowers 😐…and the boys ‘watered’ a few 😬

Double-date at the Paddock next…not sure who was with who, but there was zoomies, snuffle, digging and blackberry nibbling and Angel was seen rolling in the distance for quite a while (applying perfume 🦊💩)…all very pleasant…next time they’re off to the movies to watch a Lassie film 🍿

And back to CatClub duties…P**i and Bear REALLY want to get back in their kitchen 😆…should be ok tomorrow guys!!! 😅

Wednesday walkies & CatClub…

P**i and Bear are getting quite used to their new set up in the dining room while the kitchen is decorated and were waiting for me like clockwork this morning 🕰️…before it was a Hoole Park ball/chase/roll/snuffle with the Weds am gang (minus Dizzy) 🐾

Over at the racecourse, we had to avoid the sprinklers (although I suspect Dave and Freddie would’ve enjoyed them 💦🙂)…and it was off for a good zoomies that all this space tends to spark off (except little Freddy…he ‘walks fast’ rather than zoomies 😆)…but same thing really, just in slow motion 😊

And at Caldy Valley, all was well until there was a distant bang from miles away…but enough to spook Fern (who DOES NOT like bangs!!) She sat down and wouldn’t move 🙈…but we eventually convinced her that ‘danger’ was not close…and she dragged me back to Cliff 🚐 Scary noises are NOT needed thankyou!!…keep your bangs to yourself whoever it was 😤😆

And over at P**i and Bear’s…P**i was hanging out upstairs with the cleaning lady, so Bear got extra cuddles 😻

Tuesday walkies & CatClub…

Waking Bear & P**i up 😆…they looked Soooo cozy snuggled up together 🥰…breakfast was served ✔️

Then, on to Westminster Park…where we knew it was school hols due to the umpteen kids activities going on, lost property and litter 🤷🏼‍♀️…we ignored the activities, and the lost property and picked up some litter 🫤…someones ‘little angels’ need a talking to 🚮 😏

None of that at Grogan’s Walk in Tarvin ☺️ Small but beautifully formed, we took our time, sniffing the many scents and feeling like we were in the country (next to a major road, housing estate and school 😆)…proper city bumpkins we were 👩‍🌾

Actual BMX’ers on OUR humpy dog walk track at Queens Road Park…how rude 🚲😆 We avoided and stuck to the paths and grass…Ange spooked birds out of trees, Chloe did ‘big brown eye’ treatment for treats and Wils plodded along with us wishing it wasn’t all so ‘girlie’ 😂…although no one could call Ange a girlie girl, she’s more ‘rock chick’ 🖤🤘😂

And, just like that, it was CatClub time 🤗 We said a ‘bye for now’ to (no pics allowed) Stan & Roxy🐈🐈 and then popped over to ‘camping in the dining room’ Bear & P**i 🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛…who really want to go in the kitchen 🙈, but it’s currently a decorating disaster zone 😆…so the door was firmly SHUT!! 🤣…NO CAT CLUB MEMBERS ALLOWED!! 🤭

Monday walkies & CatClub…

The sky was grey but it was SO much cooler…we were happy 😃

CatClub commenced at Bear & P**i’s who have the decorators in, so had to be moved from the kitchen to a temporary set up in the dining room…confused they were, but soon got the hang of it 😆 No changes for Nala & Taz though…business as usual 🙂

Then off to the dogs…Ellie & Toffee avoided kids on bikes at Limewood Fields 😖…when does school start again? 😬…asking for a friend 🤥
No kids at the Paddock though and ball chase was back ON!! It’s been too hot for all that, but Rosie and Freddie were happy to see it back…Dave intercepted the odd one too, and Sherlock wasn’t interested…too busy barking at the neighbours 😂
Fern definitely was interested next 🎾…after the heat AND being out of action after a little operation, she needed to chase that ball 😂 It was confiscated half way through though…and swapped for ‘sniffing and treat begging’ with professional of both, Ellie 🥰

Back to CatClub, and after serving dinner for Stan and Roxy, it was ‘Bye for now’ to Nala and Taz 👋 and tea for ‘camping in the dining room’ Bear and P**i ☺️

A busy, but lovely Monday done! ✔️ 🤩

Friday walkies & Cat Club…

Summer continues ☀️…and the tree canopy of Parsons Lane was a perfect start for Toffee and Freddy…leaves to sniff, cool and shady..,and a lamppost at the end = what more could they want? 😂

Over at Green Lane Marley was off leading the way, while Dave was 100metres behind eating dried up horse manure 😑 We retrieved him…twice 😄…and continued on our way taking full advantage of the ‘facilities’…twice! 🤗

And another lane to end…leafy, lovely Knowle Lane with its gnomes 😂 Fern and Freddy sniffed acorns and corn on the cob crops 🌽 and finished the first (half) dog week after holibobs off beautifully 😊

Cat Club is ON though 😻
Have been visiting Stan and Roxy (no photos allowed) for a few days now…and today Nala (Bengal) and Taz (Ginger) joined us too 😺 We last saw Nala & Taz about 2 years ago…it was lovely to see them again…and they remembered me (I think? 😂)…or at least they didn’t hiss or hide…so all good!! 🧡

Thursday walkies…

Much cooler today thankfully, and the lovely flower meadow at Etna Park, like most places looked like it needs some rain 🥀 We tried for a class photo, but I’m a terrible teacher…so it was a bit…messy 😂 C- grade?…or less? 😂

Despite a quick rain shower, by lunchtime it was warming up 🥵 Nowhere near yesterday’s dizzy temps, but enough for me to moan 😂 We took a gentle amble down the Countess Park tracks…met no one 🙌 and finished with big bowls of water 💦…perfect!

Limewood Fields was heaving with folk doing holiday activities 🫤 Football, cyclists, bmx’ers, skater dudes, picnickers…you name it, it was there 🙈 We avoided EVERYONE…we don’t do ‘social’ by 2pm on a Thursday…particularly in this heat 😂

We’re back!…Wednesday walkies…

Back to the business of dog walking after my lovely hols (now a distant memory 😂)…and with the heat being HOT 🥵, we decided on a mostly Paddock day where we know we can keep cool 🆒

It seems that Storm Floris had caused a bit of havoc while we were away…branches everywhere, trees down…the farmer had been busy on the clear up…but we’ve lost our lovely ‘fallen tree tunnel’ from before 😭…we liked that!…but never mind, at least we weren’t there when the trees were being bashed 🤯

The pool was filled (…over filled as I forgot to turn the tap off 😬)…we hung around the shady areas and had half-hearted toy play 🙃…too hot for all that…sniffing was the way forward today…so we sniffed!! 🥰

More sniffing in a shady Caldy Valley too…and a HUGE thankyou to Bruce’s and Fern’s hoomans who provided much appreciated refreshments 🍭…looks a few degrees cooler tomorrow?🤞🥵…here’s hoping!! 😬

Toff and me are back…fully holiday’ed…and looking forward to seeing the gang 🤩…so expect us as normal from WEDNESDAY 🗓️

Do let me know if you’re away yourselves or anything, and I appreciate that we are actually having a Summer - it’s HOT! 🥵…so as always, just let me know if you’d rather they stay in…if not, we’ll be off on the short van trips, shade and water trail as usual 😎…with added friends 🐶

So…it’s that time of year when me, Mr MP and Toff head off in the Motorhome for our annual adventures!! Toff is not 100% really after her ‘funny turn’ of yesterday…but the vet says to go, so we’re going 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you’re driving South in the next two weeks and see a queue…give us a wave 👋😆
