🌞Summer events are now well underway 🌞

Our Showjumping masterclass was a brilliant success, rosettes all round, very happy riders and ponies.
We are looking forward to many more events through the Summer.

🐴❤️MINI OWN A PONY❤️🐴

Our Mini Own-A-Pony is an ideal event for children riding in our lead rein lessons.

This is what riders dream of, an experience of what it’s like to own your own pony! Riders will be able to groom and help tack up their pony, before a fun ride which will last for around 45 minutes. All in a group of up to 8 riders.

Dates : 6/08, 11/08 & 25/08.
Times : 9.30-11 & 12-1.30pm.
Price : £45 per rider.

This event has a 48 hour cancellation policy.

Who doesn't want to spend more time with our adorable ponies this summer?
Join us at cec for our pony rides! Suitable for children aged 4-8 years old, these rides are 20 minutes of summer fun as our wonderful ponies safely take you round our 70 acre farm (weather permitting).
Pony rides available 13th August.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our lovely Henry.

Henry taught so many people to ride over the years, with his patient demeanour and loving character.

We will miss his gorgeous face and little whinnies every morning. He has been a big part of the yard for many years.

He will be missed so much by all the staff and I’m sure all the clients too. ❤️🌈

**Looking for new four legged members to join our team**
We are looking for kind and sensible horses to join our team. We are currently looking for horses 15hh and over.
The horses at CEC benefit from year-round turnout in small herds and exceptional care provided by our knowledgeable and qualified yard team. All of our horses are much loved by our clients, staff and are considered valued members of the team.
Chelmsford Equestrian Centre is a BHS and ABRS approved riding school with a 5-star rating from Chelmsford City Council.
Older horses may be considered as long as they are sound and capable.
We would consider loan or purchase for a reasonable price.
If you have or know of a horse that you think might suit our needs at the riding school, or you’re looking for a long-term home where your horse will be well cared for, please do not hesitate to contact us.

☀️🐴 Riding in Hot Weather 🐴☀️

With the warmer temperatures expected this week, the welfare of our horses and riders remains our top priority.

During hot weather, lessons may be a little slower paced than usual, with more frequent walk breaks and opportunities for both horses and riders to rest, rehydrate, and stay comfortable.

While we may reduce the intensity of some activities, there is still plenty to learn and achieve in the saddle!

These sessions provide a great opportunity to focus on specific skills such as rider position, balance, accuracy, transitions, flatwork exercises, and developing a better understanding of your horse.

Sometimes slowing things down allows us to concentrate on the finer details that can make a big difference to our riding.

**We will assess riding conditions each day and may need to rearrange your lesson last minute if we are concerned for horse and rider welfare. We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we adapt our lessons to suit the conditions and ensure the wellbeing of our furry friends.**

Don't forget to bring plenty of water, wear sunscreen, and enjoy your time with the horses! 🌞💧
