RSPCA Medway West Branch is a separately registered branch of the RSPCA and responsible for raising funds locally. We raise money through re-homing, donations, legacies, fund-raising and our Shop. We have a Clinic / Small Animal Centre based in Walderslade in Chatham, Kent

and a Charity Shop based in Strood, Kent

Ever wondered why we ask for you to book an appointment with the vet for your furry friend before refilling their prescription? 🐶🐱

Under UK regulations, pets on Prescription Only Medicines (POM-V) need regular check-ups to keep their treatment safe, effective, and tailored just for them.

A quick review helps us:
Check the dose: Match their medication perfectly to their current weight and health.

Catch changes early: Keep an eye out for side effects or new health needs.

Run routine tests: Monitor blood work, urine, or blood pressure when needed.

Prefer ordering your meds online? We're always happy to provide a written prescription for an accredited pharmacy (a small fee applies). 💊

What a weekend! Huge thanks to everyone who came out to make last week’s Summer Fayre our best one yet.

Seeing the community come together and have so much fun was absolute magic—especially watching one little girl’s face light up when she got to meet her favourite Spider-Man! 🦸✨

Thanks to your incredible generosity and support, we raised an astounding £1,215! Every penny will go directly back into the Clinic to make veterinary care more affordable.

Ted's and his owner are taking a moment to chill out in the staff room before they start work for the day, Ted will be off to the food bank to make sure our food bank coordinator is doing his job properly! (its also the place where the treats are kept but he promises that isn't why he likes to hang out in there 🤣) while his mum will be in reception, available to assist with any enquiries or to make any appointments for our clients to see our wonderful locum Dragos. If you have recently visited our new clinic, we would love to hear your thoughts on the new colours and what we can now offer 😀
