📅 Diary Update

My appointment book is now open until April 2027.

If you would like to secure your preferred appointments, please book in advance to avoid disappointment.

As many of you know, I get extremely busy and appointments are allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support. I look forward to seeing all of your dogs over the coming months.

🖤Attention all customers🖤

Could I kindly ask that all dogs are kept on a lead and that you stick to the path when walking to and from my grooming salon.

A blackbird has built a nest in the low trees opposite the salon, and she is currently caring for her babies. I’d really like to keep any disturbance to an absolute minimum so she feels safe returning to the nest to feed them.

Thank you so much for your understanding and for helping protect our little feathered visitors.

Dear Customers,

July is now fully booked.
August is also fully booked.

There are only a few appointments remaining in September and October.

If your dog is due a groom during these months, please book as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I can’t keep squeezing in extra appointments or continue working 14 hour days.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. 🐾✨

Please, do not walk your dog in this heat.

While the sunshine may seem lovely to us, the ground beneath their paws can become dangerously hot, and the temperatures can quickly overwhelm them. Dogs cannot cool themselves the way humans can, making them far more vulnerable to heatstroke, dehydration, and burned paw pads.

No walk is worth risking your dog’s health. Missing a day or two of exercise will not harm them, but heatstroke can be fatal in a matter of minutes.

Instead, keep your dog indoors during the hottest parts of the day. Provide plenty of fresh water, access to cool areas, enrichment games, gentle play indoors, and lots of rest.

Your dog trusts you to keep them safe. Today, the kindest thing you can do is leave the lead hanging up and keep them cool at home.

If you’re unsure whether it’s too hot, ask yourself this: if you wouldn’t walk barefoot on the pavement, your dog shouldn’t be walking on it either.

Stay safe, stay cool, and put your dog’s wellbeing first.

Some days are a little more special than others, and today was one of them.

Stevie G came in for his groom ahead of a very important occasion, his sister’s prom. Looking smart and feeling fresh, he was ready to be by her side for such a memorable milestone.

It’s moments like these that remind us how much our dogs are part of the family, sharing in life’s biggest celebrations.

Just look at them both. Absolutely stunning.

I always do my very best with dogs that are nervous, reactive, difficult to handle, or prone to biting during grooming. I never make a decision based on just one appointment. Every dog is given time, patience, and the opportunity to build trust, often over 6 to 10 grooming sessions, to see if they can become more comfortable with the process. Thankfully, many dogs do settle beautifully with consistency and understanding.
When I have to have the difficult conversation that I am unable to continue grooming a dog, it is never a decision I take lightly.
As a solo groomer, I have to consider both my own safety and the welfare of the dog. In some situations, it becomes impossible to safely groom, calm, and manage a dog on my own without increasing the risk of injury or stress.

Dog bites can cause serious injuries and, in some cases, could prevent me from working for an extended period. This is a very real risk that professional groomers face.
Please understand that if I am unable to groom your dog, it is not because I have given up. It is because I have carefully considered what is safest and fairest for everyone involved. Sometimes a dog simply does not enjoy the grooming process, and that is not something any groomer can always change.

If your dog would benefit from additional support, I can also provide details of a training company that I have recommended and used previously. They may be able to help build your dog’s confidence and make grooming a more positive experience in the future.

Thank you for your understanding and support.
