I'm spending a few days at the . Yesterday I went to Sezincote House for a workshop with , which I really enjoyed. It was a privilege to paint this amazing house, which was the inspiration for Brighton Pavilion, followed by a tour of the house. We were absolutely spoilt for choice for things to paint.

My last painting from Dorset. I loved the colours and sounds of summer. It was worth staying for an extra day. The water was so beautiful, I just wanted to down tools and go for a swim. I'd love to return before the end of summer.

The last plein air paint of LPAP Dorset 2026 - Corfe castle. Thanks to and and team for their generosity and hardwork, it is much appreciated. What an incredible week of painting with such a lovely, friendly group in one of the UKs most picturesque areas. I have many fond memories.

I really enjoyed Day 4 with . It's so nice to see traditional fairground rides, apparently there are only 12 wooden helter skelter in the UK now. Great to have some donkeys to paint also. Fortunately it was nit as hot as the previous few days!

A warm 28 degrees for day 1 of the trip to Dorset. Out of all the boats in the bay, I decided to focus on the gorgeous two mast yacht. I had just finished when they unfurled the Rona Sailing Project banner. This is a project that I know about through a personal connection so I was delighted to see it.

After spending a lovely weekend catching up with friends and family in Sussex, I decided to take the opportunity to paint this waterfall in Ashdown Forest. After the downpour yesterday the weather was perfect today.

This is a study for a larger painting that I'm planning to exhibit in Ashdown Forest Open Studios in September.
