We have been forwarded this message from the National Highways by Cllr James Hutchcraft

"The speed restrictions on the M11 are in force while we carry out inspections of the safety barriers. While the inspections have been taking place, itโ€™s been found that some of the barriers are no longer up to the required standard and need to be replaced. The reduced speed limit is there to protect the travelling public.

The speed restrictions will remain in place while we carry out this safety critical work, once the barriers have been replaced the restriction will be removed. We've informed the Police about the current speed limits, however, weโ€™re unable to enforce them as the police are responsible for enforcing the law.

A camera van should be in place in the next week or two which should help to alleviate the problem.

Thank you again for contacting us. If you need more information about this, please feel free to contact me. For anything else, please contact our Customer Contact Centre on 0300 123 5000 or by email at [email protected]."

๐Ÿ’› Support our village with the Willingham Community Larder! ๐Ÿ’›

Willingham Action Group has set up a Willingham Community Larder in the church porch to help support local residents.

How does it work?
Itโ€™s simple โ€” if youโ€™re able to, you can donate non-perishable food items by placing them in the box. If you or someone you know needs a few essentials, please feel free to take what you need.

This is a wonderful way to show kindness, support one another, and strengthen the community spirit in our village. Please give what you can and help spread the word! ๐ŸŒŸ
