Why we aren’t just Dog Groomers 🥰
When you drop your dog off with us, it might look like a standard routine of washing, brushing and styling. But to us it’s never just a hair cut.
Spending hours hands on with your dog gives us a unique, close up perspective that goes far beyond aesthetics. We know the texture of their coat, the shape of their body and what’s normal for them. Because we work so closely with their skin and fur every few weeks, we are often the first line of detection for subtle changes that might otherwise go unnoticed.
SKIN COAT AND HEALTH - we notice the sudden patch of dry skin, a subtle shift in coat density, early signs of ear irritation or hot spots long before they become uncomfortable.
LUMPS, BUMPS AND AGING - as your dogs grow older, we map out every new bump, wart or cyst. We keep track of which ones are old news and pinpoint any new growth that might need to be checked by the vet.
BEHAVIOUR AND MOBILITY- We feel the stiffness in an aging dog’s joints when they lift a paw, or notice when a once energetic pup starts needing extra support on the table.
There’s a deep emotional side to this work too. We remember the wiggly, nervous puppies who couldn’t sit still for a nail trim, and we watch them grow into calm and trusting adults. We celebrate their healthy years and gently adjust our care as they become seniors.
