Come along to our NAWT Bedfordshire centre next Sunday for a fantastic jumble sale – and grab yourself a bargain while helping homeless pets at the same time! 💙

There’ll be plenty of treasures to browse, all in support of the animals in our care. So whether you’re on the hunt for something specific or just love a good rummage, we’d love to see you there!

🌟 This Tuesday, our NAWT Cornwall centre was filled with smiles as we held our Volunteer Recruitment and Thank You event! 🌟

It was so lovely to welcome our incredible existing volunteers and say a heartfelt thank you for everything they do — we simply couldn’t do it without them. 💙

We were also delighted to meet new faces who came along to find out more about volunteering with us. If you couldn’t make it but are interested in getting involved, we’d still love to hear from you!

With temperatures rising, it’s vital to look out for our four-legged friends. 🐾 Please walk your dogs only at dawn or dusk when it's much cooler, and always check the pavement before heading out. If you can't hold the back of your hand on it for 5 seconds, it’s far too hot for their paws! 🥵🔥

Are you a whizz with numbers and looking for a flexible part-time role? We’re on the lookout for a Finance Assistant to join our friendly Head Office team based in Watford.

Working 12 hours a week, you’ll play a key role in supporting our Finance Manager and helping to ensure the smooth running of our finance function. From accurate data entry to supporting financial accountability across the charity, your contribution will help us continue making a difference for the animals in our care.

Our Story

The National Animal Welfare Trust rescues and rehomes over 1,200 homeless pets in the UK every year. During an animal’s time in rescue, we work hard to provide them with training, rehabilitative care and enrichment that will help them through a difficult period of their lives and prepare them for life in a new home. We operate a safe, non-judgemental environment and never stop caring.

Although we've been helping animals for 47 years, we are never complacent and constantly seek new, innovative ideas we can implement to improve our work and help more animals.

Open Paw was one such innovation; originally developed in the US, we're proud to be UK pioneers for the project and recently given a seal of approval from Open Paw Co-Founder Kelly Gorman-Dunbar as ‘a centre of excellence and ambassador for Open Paw in the UK'.

Open Paw works to improve the lives of animals during their time in rescue, train them and prepare them for life in a new home. http://www.nawt.org.uk/
