*** FOR ADOPTION ***
Myrtle came into our care, because she was waiting for the rescue space for… THREE YEARS. We’ve learned about her back in March, and we promised her that we will come and get her. Her feeders organised a corner for her in their garden, but being in flat share/room renting accommodation, no one was in a position to do anything more for her.
Myrtle has been neutered, but we have no information about this other than she’s never had kittens.
She’s a friendly and affectionate, quiet girl. She’s actually been with us for 2 months now as initially she was peeing and pooing everywhere, and we couldn’t figure out why. Now we know. She doesn’t like other cats. She won’t say anything to them, there’s no hissing, and she’s very gentle, but things only improved once she got her own room. In reality, we didn’t have the space for Myrtle, and after veterinary health check and vaccinating her, we had to introduce her to our own cats, who really needed that room. No one was happy about it.
Myrtle has her „own space” now. She lives on top of our wardrobe in the spare bedroom. Not really great, but the house where she lived for 3 years got sold, and she would have lost her food supply and shelter. She has access to a catio, but she hardly ventures anywhere. She’s a wise cat, and this was a huge change for her.
Is Myrtle looking for an indoor home, or one with the access to the garden? In her case either would be fine. She would probably be happier with the access to the outdoors, but she currently has 24/7 access to outdoor space and she never goes there.
Myrtle has a clean bill of health and lovely, healthy teeth. She is 3-4 years old. She’s gentle and quiet and non demanding. She would be best suited to a child free and pet free home and she would thrive in a quiet environment.
Myrtle is: fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and flea and worm treated with veterinary grade products. She comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance and veterinary history. She’s been given a clean bill of health.
She is currently being fostered in Bushey (Watford) and the adopter is going to have a chance to meet her in person and to spend time with her prior to the adoption.
