Our Story:
After the passing of our family cat Barney in 2011, we

parted with our baby boy at our local vet and waited in earnest for his return home. It would be over two weeks before we had our boys remains returned to us, leaving us emotionally exhausted but otherwise delighted to have him home. We were dismayed to discover that our boy had been cremated only 3 days prior, according to his certificate of cremation. With the coming of our darling family dogs 14th birthday, the topic of preparing for Maggie’s passing brought memories of our passed experience flooding back, and we vowed to honour her with a dignified cremation, right here in her home town of Bury. We recognised the need for a compassionate, local pet cremation service that offers bereaved pet owners the peace of mind that their pets will be treated with the utmost respect, will be revered every step of the way and are returned to their families swiftly so that they may all find comfort and closure in their pets passing. With that Legacy Pets was founded, dedicated to providing compassionate support to each and every family we serve. We provide a beautiful and serene environment to say your final goodbyes and offer a range of hand selected urns and keepsakes for you to cherish.

24/7 Collection - In the unfortunate circumstance that your pet passed away, we offer a service to your home. Individual Cremations - Designed to ensure the highest level of professionalism, care and dignity throughout the cremation process. Personally Returned - We aim to return your Pets ashes to you within 48 hours or same day where possible.

Exclusively Individual Pet Cremations:
- Extra Small Pets (hamsters, budgies etc.)
- Small Pets (guinea pigs, rabbits etc.)

Personalised Paw Prints:
Our stunning Personalised Paw Prints are taken prior to your pets cremation. We take several prints to ensure we get the perfect impression of your pet's paw. Once we've taken the print, we run it through our computer and print the paw-print out with your pets name situated below the paws. We then mount this print in one of our gorgeous white box frames for you to keep. You also receive all of the original prints we take prior to printing the final paw print. Our Paw Prints come in either plain black or a colour/pattern of your choice and start from the following:

Black Ink Paw-Print = £25
Nose Prints = £20
Shell Prints = £30

Memorial Christmas Tree 2025! 🎄✨💜

This year, our team have decided to bring back our Memorial Christmas Tree! We invite you to submit your pets that have been in our care to be featured on our special tree.

From each submission, a memorial message tag will be made including your pet's name, date of passing and a short message. Once Christmas is over, you'll then be invited to come and collect this from our Showroom on The Rock.

This is a first come, first served basis. We can only accept a certain number of submissions so once this is filled, we cannot accept any more. With this in mind - we ask kindly that if your pet has been featured on any of our Christmas Memorials in the past, please consider not submitting them this year so that we have the capacity to feature as many new pets as possible who haven't been featured before.

We have a few house rules regarding this year's memorial for you to PLEASE READ CAREFULLY before submitting:-

- Our team cannot accept enquiries over the phone, email or in person regarding the Memorial Tree. Please do not contact the team with questions about our tree
- Simply follow the instructions on the link below to submit your pet. If you receive a "Thank You" message, then your pet has been submitted.
- If you want to come and see your pet's memorial tag on our tree, you're more than welcome to.
- We will not be sending out any photographs of individual pets' memorial on the tree.
- If you're unable to collect your pet's memorial after Christmas, then please do not submit.
- Submissions close at midnight on Sunday 21st December- or when our limit has been reached.

Festive Food Bank Appeal | 🎄💜🐾

We want to say a massive thank you all so much for your all-year round donations. The next couple of weeks are crucial for rescue centres and charities. We're asking all of our followers for one final huge push into the New Year.

We hate the thought of any pet going without this Christmas. Each pet, big or small, whether they are patiently waiting at a rescue centre for their furever home, being nursed back to full health or are with a loving family who simply are struggling to make ends meet in these difficult times - it is our aim to make a difference.

Please only donate what you can. There are donation bins for pet food (wet & dry) and flea & worming treatments placed in the following locations in Greater Manchester:
