Physiotherapy isn’t all laser and exercises!

Home management is a huge part of rehab and recovery and can make a big difference to your dog’s quality of life 🩵

After having two dogs with issues, Albert with his discospondylitis and Sherman with his arthritis and other issues. You’d think I would have made sure I had Rupert covered with all ways to make life easy for him.

When we had the appointment with Ellis Four Paws Fitness, both myself and she were positive I had it all covered but she wisely went through the checklist with me .

- ramps inside and out ✔️
- rugs everywhere ✔️
- limiting access to stairs ✔️
- omega 3 ✔️
There will be more things I have forgotten as it’s just welded into life here.

- raised bowl ❌ aargh ! They have raised bowls for water but it just hadn’t crossed my mind to raise his food ! 🙄

So he is now on the Albert food step!

It’s so easy to just forget something so easy to sort!

Proof I never had any other plans than to spend my life with dogs 🐶

I can’t believe it, but Four Paws Fitness has been running for 7 years - another year for me to thank everyone for their support in allowing me to have my dream job, and for trusting me to take care of your pets 🩵

The last 12 months have been incredibly busy, with completing my MSc degree and graduation, an engagement and a house move (updates for this can be found Castle Cottage Renovation 🏡)

Looking forward to the next 12 months and beyond with you all!

A little Poppy appreciation post 🥰

Poppy started physiotherapy after TPLO surgery and her owner decided to continue sessions after her recovery to improve Poppy’s posture and strength.

Poppy and her mum have worked SO hard and are absolute stars at practicing their home exercises - I was so excited with this tuck-back sit this week 😍

Poppy’s progress has been amazing and you can see how her posture has changed throughout her rehab journey 💪

So I have conveniently destroyed my work phone 😅

Graduation 2026 🎓

We had a beautiful sunny day (mostly!) at a gorgeous venue, and I’m so incredibly pleased to have been awarded the Research Prize for my dissertation, it was a huge surprise!

No more degrees (for now) 🐕
