Bicton complete for another year ✅

Theo gave me a super ride round a tough 4*, which caused a decent amount of trouble. He hasn’t picked up a 20 in a long while, so it was bound to happen sometime. I think I just came a little quick to the shoulder brush, and should have given him a little time but was mega round the rest of it!

Grateful for all the support from friends and family, so nice to be at a local one!

Looking forward to a bit more time at home this week

Tweseldown 🥈🥉

Our busy time of year continues and a nice little heatwave thrown into the mix 🥵 we had two lovely horses at Tweseldown who coped incredibly well with the heat

Sven - 28 double clear and 3rd 🥉Novice
Rocky - 30 double clear and 2nd 🥈100

Sven was a little fresh having missed his run at Bovington but still a smart test and a really class double clear giving me such a super spin xc. Delighted for his lovely owner Becky Lear who kindly drove him and got him ready all day

My own and my Mum’s homebred 6yo Rocky, was doing his first 100. Still very wobbly on the flat but balance improving all the time for 30 and felt mega in both jumping phases; much more grown up and mature. I think a lot of him and so we’ll give him a little break now until we get some rain 🌧️

Osberton 2* ✅

Our lorry drama this season continues with a blowout on the M1, so I got very well acquainted with the hard shoulder for 6 hours longer than preferred.

Albert was a bit of a trooper and still went on to put together 3 good phases in his first 2* and stay away. He’d be lacking a bit of novice experience and a green 20 xc was a shame when he actually gave me a super ride, he’s only 7 and come on a lot since year!

Lots of positive experience gained for him (once we arrived, probably some experience he’d rather forget).

Fritz feeling on fine form to land a top 10 placing in the Advanced 🙌🏼

Overall a very tidy test and more relaxed from Burnham Market, just a late change to score 36. Still a little fresh in the sj ring for 3 down, so just some tweaks to do for the next one. Followed by a mega clear xc round a really decent track, thrilled with the ride him gave me and hopefully set him up really well for his next run 🤞🏻

Our first time to and such a great event. The ground was superb and the whole event had such a good atmosphere, looking forward to returning next year!

Big up to the fam for making the trek up to support, super grateful 🙌🏼

So good to have ESP Equine back! They played such an important role in our horses routines before they moved, and now I can’t wait to get booked in 🙌🏼

As with all good things, setting up has taken a little bit longer than anticipated, however I’m so thrilled to announce that we are now taking bookings for the water treadmill 💦🐎🥂

Just a little reminder about us:

💦 Based at Alex Dunn Racing, TA21 9LE. Access couldn’t be easier from the M5 (5 mins!!) or A303 (20 mins).
💦 Managed by highly experienced human and animal trained chiropractor who already has 2.5 years experience with running the water treadmill.
💦 Available for rehab, fitness, strengthening work.
💦 The latest clinical research concludes that the water treadmill is more effective at building hind quarter muscle strength compared to just overland work alone 💪🏻 (You will hearing that one a lot!)
💦 We are here for EVERYONE. My fat, hairy, laminitic EMS pony will be at the front of the queue 😳😂

Many of you know us from our first round.

We haven’t changed, except a few more wrinkles, and few more pounds piled on and let’s not look at the grey hair. We still want to offer you a fun, friendly and informative experience. I’m delighted that Ella is also still part of the team, so we still have our fabulously calm Auntie helping keep everything under control. She also has been busy qualifying as an equine massage therapist, so brings with her lots of lovely new skills to benefit from should you wish.

It’s been a journey getting everything where it needed to be. 7yo 16.3 gelding

Attractive stamp of a horse, has mainly hunted and done a bit of team chasing previously but could easily up the levels eventing next season

Previously in an amateur home, very easy horse to handle and have around. Leads well off another horse

Hasn’t done a lot of schooling prior to coming to us. Three nice and correct paces, will be very flashy once he gets stronger. For a bigger horse he’s very light and even in the contact. Has been to BS and xc schooling. Jumps hedges and gates
