Navigating the path of if a racehorse can be retrained can be a tricky one. Knowing when to say ‘enough’ and when to try ‘other things’ is always so hard, not only financially, but emotionally as well. How do we ‘read the signs’ and how do we navigate retiring them?

🦄One is 17hh and the other is 10hh
When Greg met Bentley and Nola 😍❤️

Nola rides in the Shetland Grand National in the Godolphin colours. Bentley has been her ride for the past year and he is now due to retire and her new pony, Teacup, will be taking up the charge.

It is an absolute privilege and joy to be able to talk about retraining racehorses to anyone of any age, but when they’re as brilliant as Nola and Betsey it’s an honour. Nola and Betsey rode Greg so well, with such empathy and skill, which at their young age is seriously impressive and they are definitely ones to watch out for the future

Greg had a great time showing them some of his dressage skills and has asked if he can have a Shetland for Christmas…….

A wonderful afternoon full of what the power and love of the horse is all about 😍❤️😍
