🐾 A LITTLE CONFESSION FROM RUBY SNACKS… 🐾

We've recently seen quite a few posts about people boycotting small businesses that use AI to help with their advertising and social media. 🤔

So, we thought we'd give doing everything ourselves a go…

Ladies and gentlemen, we proudly present… RUBY. 🐕🎨

Yes, this is genuinely our attempt at creating our own advertising artwork. No AI, no fancy technology, just pure artistic talent. 🤣

We think you'll agree, it's absolutely terrifying. Even Ruby would probably be offended. 😭😂

But on a slightly more serious note…

Running a small business isn't easy. We don't have huge marketing budgets, professional photographers, graphic designers or social media teams like the big companies do.

We have a family, a dog, a passion for what we do and a determination to make our little business succeed. ❤️

AI is simply a tool that helps small businesses like ours create eye-catching posts, reach new customers and compete in a world where the bigger companies have much bigger budgets.

The business is real. The people behind it are real. The products are real. And the love and hard work that goes into it all is VERY real. 🐾❤️

So, with your permission, we think we'll go back to having a little help with our social media posts…

Because quite frankly, Ruby deserves better than THIS. 🤣🤣

🚨 RAWHIDE… DO YOU ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT YOU’RE GIVING YOUR DOG? 🚨

It looks like a harmless dog chew.
It’s sold in pet shops, supermarkets and bargain stores everywhere.

But rawhide isn’t the same as a natural meat chew. 👀

So… what actually is it?

Rawhide is made from the inner layer of animal hide. During manufacturing, hides may undergo several stages of cleaning and processing before being cut, shaped, sometimes coloured or flavoured, and turned into those familiar bones and twists.

And that's not our only issue with it… 👇

⚠️ CHOKING RISK
Once chewed, rawhide can become soft and slippery. Dogs may tear off and swallow pieces that are simply too large.

⚠️ BLOCKAGE RISK
Rawhide isn't easily digestible, so swallowed chunks can potentially cause an obstruction in the digestive tract — which can become a veterinary emergency.

⚠️ IT CAN SWELL & BECOME GUMMY
Rather than crumbling away like some natural treats, chewed rawhide can become soggy, stretchy and difficult to break down.

⚠️ NOT ALL RAWHIDE IS MADE THE SAME
Manufacturing and processing methods vary hugely between products, so it's worth knowing exactly what you're buying and where it came from.

🐾 THAT'S WHY YOU WON'T FIND RAWHIDE AT RUBY SNACKS.

We'd rather fill our stall with things like:
