As groomers, we see dogs day in and day out. We don’t just wash, dry and cut coats. We assess movement, balance, posture, condition, skin health and coat quality every single day.
One thing I’m incredibly passionate about is continuing to learn every aspect of the dogs we work with, not just the hair that we groom.
Understanding canine anatomy, structure and skin & coat health allows us to groom with purpose. It helps us create balance, work with the dog’s natural conformation, recognise potential abnormalities and tailor our grooming to each individual dog rather than simply following a style.
The more we understand what’s underneath the coat, the better groomers we become❤️
