Just a little tidy-up and a lot of fluff perfection! 🐾💛 This gorgeous Pom left looking fresh, polished, and ready to turn heads wherever he goes.

Fun fact: Pomeranians have around 23 different coat colours and patterns, making them one of the most colourful dog breeds in the world! ✨🐶

What a huge day for the The Wag Club team! 🐾💚

Today we were at the Great British Grooming Show, and we are SO proud of our girls! ✂️🏆

🥇 Lauren — 1st place in Experienced Beginner — absolutely incredible! Your hard work, dedication and passion continue to shine. We couldn’t be prouder of you! 🌟

🥉 Meg — 3rd place in Beginner — what an amazing achievement! You did such a beautiful job, and this is only the beginning for you! 💛✨

And for Susi — no placing this time, but stepping into the Open Hand Stripping category and competing alongside highly skilled professionals was an incredible achievement in itself.

Growth comes from pushing ourselves outside our comfort zone, and this was exactly that 💪✨

BUT… the excitement doesn’t stop there! 😍🤩

Today, Susi & Lauren also received the results from an online competition and placed 🥈 2nd in Doubles with the beautiful Archie! 🎉💛

A day full of learning, growth, courage, teamwork and achievements — exactly what The Wag Club is all about 🐾✨

✨ Meet Niamh Johnson, our new groomer at The Wag Club 🐾
Starting with us on 14th May.

With a lifelong love for animals, Niamh began her grooming journey at just 17 as an assistant and quickly discovered her passion for the craft. Now, with 9 years of experience, she continues to refine her skills, delivering grooms with precision, patience, and genuine care.

Alongside her work in the salon, she is a trustee for an animal rescue, actively involved in the rehabilitation of domestic, exotic, and wildlife species, bringing a deeper level of understanding and compassion to every dog she works with.

Her approach to grooming is calm, intuitive, and tailored to each individual dog. She prioritises comfort, builds trust, and adapts to their needs, always ensuring a positive and stress-free experience.

This handsome boy had a proper transformation using hand stripping, the ideal technique to maintain the natural texture and health of the coat.

😲My wire-coated dog changed colour after being shaved…🤯

This is very common and it happens because wire coats are not meant to be clipped. When shaved, the dead hair isn’t removed properly, which affects the coat’s colour, texture and overall health.

Hand Stripping removes the dead coat by hand, allowing new, strong hair to grow with the correct colour and texture ✨
But frequency is key. When done at the right time, the coat stays healthy, weather-resistant and comfortable for your dog.
