What a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning ☀️🐾 The sun was shining, the dogs were working and today’s teams had an extra challenge… the heat!

With the warmer temperatures, scent behaved differently to what many of our dogs have become used to during our cooler recent sessions. Heat can cause scent to rise, spread and move in unexpected ways, meaning the dogs need to work harder to problem solve and follow where the scent has travelled rather than simply where the trail layer walked.

It was fantastic to watch them adapt and work it out. Our dogs used their noses, checked areas of scent, cast around for the strongest picture and pieced everything together to locate their hidden trail layers 👣🐶

Mantrailing isn’t just about following footsteps… it’s about reading scent, working as a team and letting the dogs do what they do best.

Happy dogs, tired brains and sunshine… not a bad way to spend a Sunday morning 💛🐾

Looking for something fun to do with your dog this weekend? I still have 2 spaces available on this Sunday’s Urban Mantrailing Session at 9am at The Croft, Bromborough 🐕👣 The weather is also looking glorious for the weekend ☀️

Mantrailing is all about letting your dog do what they do best… use their nose! Your dog will follow a specific person’s scent trail and work out where they’ve gone. It’s like a real life treasure hunt for dogs and they absolutely LOVE it 🕵️‍♀️🐾

The best bit is it’s not just physically tiring, it works their brain too. Sniffing, problem solving, making decisions and processing scent information takes a huge amount of mental effort, which is why dogs often head home happy, satisfied and ready for a well earned nap afterwards 😴 and an afternoon of peace and quiet for you too 🙌

Perfect for all breeds, all ages and especially dogs who enjoy having a job to do. Nervous dogs, reactive dogs and high energy dogs often really thrive with mantrailing too 🐶

We’ve got some lovely locations lined up over the next couple of months, including woodland trails, urban environments and some longer trail sessions to really challenge the dogs 🐾

Tonight’s urban Mantrailing session at The Croft, Bromborough was one of those evenings that just fills up your cup 💛🐾

We ran our longer trails and every single dog worked their absolute socks off, piecing together their scent puzzles and tracking down their trail layers. The wind definitely kept things interesting tonight, swirling scents, tricky corners, and a bit of extra detective work required but the dogs rose to the challenge beautifully.

There’s nothing better than watching them problem solve in real time, gaining confidence with every step and wag of the tail. Such a wholesome, feel good session with a brilliant group.

Well done everyone, your dogs smashed it 👏🐕‍🦺

We have had a cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances for this Wednesday evening’s session at Thurstaston. It is such a beautiful location and we will be working on longer trails. Easter Themed Mantrailing Session 🐰

This morning’s session was one to remember… Sweeny Toddz Barber Shop transformed into Easter Bunny HQ, complete with egg recovery missions and missing bunnies to track down 🥚🐾

Our trail layers fully embraced their bunny roles (the baskets definitely came in handy for the goodies), and the dogs were on top form, working out every challenge like pros.

A big shoutout to .leads_ for being the last bunny with ears still standing 👏🐰

Every team put in the work and earned their Easter rosettes and certificates! Such a fun, feel-good session all round.

Thank you to for supplying our natural quail egg yolk goodies, the dogs loved them 😋
