✨ Animal of the Month: Our Japanese (red crowned) Cranes! ✨

We have two Japanese cranes at the park, a male called Udon and a female called Soba! Both have the striking red crown on their heads, but you can spot the difference between them as Udon’s neck is slightly darker than Soba’s.

Their courtship displays are spectacular (and very noisy!) — you’ll certainly know about it if you get the chance to witness one! ✨

Here he is with Amelia the camel 🐪📸

Joe first joined us as a volunteer and soon became a permanent part of the team. With endless enthusiasm, fun facts, and a love for every animal (no favourites, he promises 😉), he always brings a smile to visitors and staff alike!

When he’s not busy at the park, you might spot him up in the sky 🛫 or singing somewhere locally 🎶 – a true man of many talents and a great team asset!
