Whilst driving pretty much my last HGV training this week.

I received news from BD (all be it via mum because my mobile was switched off!) that Pam Murphy Ramanos AKA Manny has secured his place at the Nationals at Elementry 🎉🎉

So that's 2 golden tickets for Manny 🙌✨️🙌✨️

Im so unbelievably proud of him and super excited to ride down the centre line not once but twice with him 🥰🥰

🚛💫 So I did a thing this week on the quiet but yesterday I passed my HGV test first time! Though my feet only just about reached the pedals 🤣🤣

This has been such a long time coming. For years the horses/business have taken every spare penny (and then some 😅), and I didn’t know if I’d ever manage to save enough to do it.
I can honestly say I would rather be judged by 8 judges sat around an arena than one examiner Sat in the passenger seat, whilst driving Cheltenham 8am rush hour!! Also trying to negotiate the Tewkesbury mini round abouts, that i have decided are the truckers equivalent of walk pirouettes 😅😅
This week was one of the hardest I’ve had in a while – 4:30am alarms, 5 hours of training, and still making sure all the horses were kept going.
❤️🐴 A massive thank you as well to my team for holding the fort down while I was flat out – I couldn’t have done it without you. 🙏 🚛✨

Absolutely over the moon to find out today that Pam Murphy Ramanos AKA Manny has secured his wildcard for Somerford park Nationals!!!!!! 🎉🎉🎊🎊

Clever boy Manny 🫶 🤎🫶🤎

He is definitely walking in his big brothers hoof prints, and it's an absolute "pinch myself" moment to be able to ride him at Somerford a year on 🥰🥰🥰

I'm so thankful to Pam for her ongoing support and trust with her "Murphy Brothers" ♥️

A fantastic kick off to the summer season with some of team Lone oak riders 🫶🫶

and Yellow coming 8th in the Novice and 2nd place U21, then rode one better to finish 5th in the Elementry and again 2nd place under 21 🎉 so proud of Fliss in her first year competing BD, here is hoping for a wild card 🤞
morgan and Paddy finished 5th in the Medium freestyle 🕺💃 waving the flag for all connie/native horses, I'm so super proud to have shared their journey from the very beginning 🥰 onwards now to advanced medium 😀

and Dewy finished 5th in the Novice flying the flag for ROR, so lovely to see Nikki back out competing and at the forefront after years of being the person supporting from the side of the arena 🥰

And lastly my amazing mum .p.miller and Superflynn who finished 6th in the Novice, again after years of helping me chase my dreams she finally has the chance to chase hers 💕💕

I'm so encredibly proud of each and everyone, I love sharing and being apart of all your journeys 🥰 🥰 Thank you for letting me be apart of your goals and a massive huge congratulations to you all 🍾🍾🍾

Pam Murphy Ramanos aka Manny secured his qualification through to the finals yesterday in the advanced medium freestyle 2nd place with +70% 🙌🙌

So over the moon and proud as punch with this boy, who only started his changes in may and this was his 3rd attempt at advanced medium 🥹 Not only that but he is 7 and it's hard to remember he only started his dressage competition career 18 months ago 🥰 his super trainable temperament and love for his job truly is shining through 💕

Still so much more to come with time and strength as well as myself learning to control his energy in the canter work better in a competition environment
But I absolutely love the enthusiasm and feel he gives me, and can't wait to see it develop for the future 🥰🥰

Now to park the changes for a while ready for our upcoming Elementry and medium 😄😄

I've been a bit quiet on the posting front recently.

This winter has been long and hard on multiple fronts, but the show must go on, and we have been working hard behind the scenes with our regional preparation for next week!! 😱

I'm so very lucky to have the most amazing and supportive sponsors who are always on hand for help and advice.

As important it is to prepare our horses for competition it's equally important to prepare ourselves.
A few years ago, Ahead For Sport told me to do this simple technique to fully know, understand, and how I want my test to ride and feel. Helping me to adapt my test riding to each individual horse I ride.

Our Story

Lone Oak Stables was founded almost 10 years ago by the owner and proprietor, Beth Miller BHS II. Situated in 18 acres of beautiful Cotswold countryside, consisting of 12 spacious, light stables, solarium, wash box, clipping box and individual all year turn out. We have a professionally built 20×60 Olympic sized all weather arena, that is fully fitted with training mirrors and judges box in a relaxed setting. Lone Oak Stables prides itself on being able to provide and tailor its 5* care for each individual horse.

BETH MILLER BHS II

Beth left school at the 16 and went on to be accepted to train at the Talland School of Equitation. In these years, she achieved her BHS Intermediate Instructors certificate and was in charge of the daily running of the school, including the care of 100+ horses, clients and students. Working her way up from a working pupil to a senior instructor and yard manager, she developed the skills and expertise to train and care for top international competition horses. During this time she trained under top trainers such as Pammy & Charlie Hutton, Gerry Sinnott, Molly Siverwright and Justine Sole. Returning home in 2010, Beth set up Lone Oak Stables training and schooling, which has been developed over the years.
