We are not crying, you are. 🥹

This team just wrapped up their Charity of the Year partnership with us and the final number is in.
£43,500. 🎉

The biggest Charity of the Year partnership Bristol A.R.C. has ever had. Raised through events, raffles, bake sales, sweepstakes, challenges, and let's not forget the legendary tuck shop.
They even came in and volunteered with us throughout the year because apparently fundraising wasn't enough for them.

The cheque was presented at their conference in Cheltenham Town Hall and we are still buzzing about it.

Thank you Hazlewoods. The animals think you're incredible. So do we. 🐾

🎉 Volunteers' Week 2026 🎉

We're kicking off Volunteers' Week by celebrating the incredible volunteers who support our Reception team.

Whether they're welcoming visitors, helping answer enquiries, supporting our staff, or being a friendly face for everyone who walks through our doors, our Reception volunteers play a vital role in helping Bristol Animal Rescue Centre run smoothly every day.

To all of our wonderful volunteers, thank you. Your time, compassion and dedication make an incredible difference to our animals, visitors and staff. We truly couldn't do what we do without you. 💛

We see all sorts of birds and parrots come through the centre, and right now Denim & Jeans have just flown the nest to their forever home 🩵

Introducing Salsa, Nacho and Cheese, a trio of very lazy ferrets!!

They were transferred to us from another RSPCA branch after deciding they fancied the Bristol life, mainly for the naps, snacks and cuddles.

At 6 years old, this bonded trio spend most of their time snoozing together, but we’re helping Salsa and Nacho get a little more active with short harness walks and weight loss adventures 🐾

Cheese is currently recovering after having one of his eyes removed, but once he’s healed he’ll be back out exploring with his brothers again ❤️

The boys are looking for a home together, could you offer this sleepy trio the perfect retirement pad?

At just 18 months old, this beautiful Husky/German Shepherd cross is full of personality. Nanuk can be a little nervous at first, but once she trusts you she’s all cuddles, kisses and zero concept of personal space 🥹

She’s obsessed with soft toys, loves treats, and absolutely must have her morning zoomies every day!

Bristol A.R.C. animals vs the heatwave 🫠

We’re keeping everyone cool with paddling pools, frozen treats, ice cubes, cooling veggies, shaded areas, cool mats and air con❄️☀️

Meanwhile the rats have better spa facilities than most of us and Lola is fully living her best poolside life.
