SQUEAL!!

We’re very excited to introduce our newest arrivals, three Saddleback x Berkshire gilts (that’s young female pigs), who joined us from our friends over at Windmill Hill City Farm

They were born on the 13th of July, and all sisters who have already settled in well with us 🥰 Each one has a different-sized white stripe across its back, which makes it easy to tell them apart, although they have not been named yet.

They’ll be with us until spring, giving visitors plenty of time to come and say hello, watch them grow, and learn more about pigs and their role on the Farm.

Pop by soon and meet the latest additions to the Farm 🐖🐖🐖

Okay, so it might have been a few weeks…

But as we’ve had no messages from anyone telling us how freekin’ AWESOME(!) our NEW webpage is, we guess it was about time to shout about it 😄

We’re so chuffed with this new page. It’s updated, on brand, and just so US, you know.

HUGE and MASSIVE thanks to Thomas and Edwin at Delivered Social for their patience, creativity, and support in bringing it all together. We couldn’t recommend them enough 😍

Take a look around and let us know what you think!

Thanks to support from the Quartet Community Foundation, our volunteers enjoyed a brilliant day out at Slimbridge Wetland Centre with Kingswood Community Transport.

It was a chance to step away from the city, spot wildlife, and spend time together outside of regular sessions. For many, it was their first visit – and it didn’t disappoint. And everyone had the BEST time! 😄

One volunteer summed it up perfectly:

“The day out to Slimbridge was really lovely. Everything went smoothly, I felt secure with the arrangements, enjoyed the talk and the wildlife. It was nice to meet some of the other volunteers.”

On the last day of August, we're left with one statement:
What a summer it’s been at the Farm! ☀

We’ve had lots of sunshine, some wonderful celebrations, and so many of you visiting and enjoying all of what the Farm has to offer over the past few months.
Looking back, here are just a FEW of our favourite summer moments...

June - The Summer Fair filled St Werburghs with music, dancing, and heaps of community spirit. Thank you to everyone who came and made it so special! 💜

July - We marked a huge milestone: 45 years of St Werburghs City Farm! Can you believe it's been decades of growing, learning, and celebrating together?! It was a real joy to reflect on this time and where we are today 🥹

August - We welcomed our newest residents, turkey chicks! Tiny, curious, and already full of personality 😄

A massive thank you to all our visitors, volunteers, staff, and supporters for being part of this FABULOUS summer. Now, let's do Autumn! 🥰
