Happy Easter 🐰Hope you and your furry friends enjoy the long Easter bank holiday weekend 💛

Opening times:
▪️ We are closed Good Friday 19th April and Easter Monday 14th April.
▪️ Open as usual for our Saturday hours on the 12th April ( 8.30am - 12pm)

Meet Bob, an adorable 11-week-old Red Fox Labrador puppy who visited the vet yesterday for his puppy vaccinations and check-up. 💉🤍

We are excited to watch him grow into a big, handsome boy ⭐️

Beautiful Ruby , the 3month old Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla came to see us today ❤️

She was adored by our nursing team who gave her lots of attention and cuddles ❤️

🌻 SPRING 🌻

Hello Spring ! 💛

Don't forget that the clocks SPRING forward tomorrow ! ⏰

Spring brings longer and brighter days giving us more time to enjoy the outdoors with our furry friends.

If you didn't already know, some common flowers seen in spring like daffodils, tulips and bluebells can be poisonous to your dog or cat. 🌷

You may not know if your pet has ingested any of these flowers.
However, If you have any concerns or they start showing any symptoms such as vomiting , upset stomach , lethargy or difficulty breathing then please contact us.

MARGO AND LUNA 🐾

This delightful duo popped in when passing to check Margo, the puppy’s, weight. As she is growing, it is important to pop her on the scales regularly to ensure her weight is increasing at a safe and steady rate. 📈

It is also great for socialisation and positive association of places like the vets. 🩺

Luna came along for the ride and managed to get a little treat too! Two very well behaved girls 🥰

🪱LUNGWORM CASE🪱

This gorgeous boy Pyro, has recently spent a few days with us as he was diagnosed with lungworm.

He came to visit us after his lovely owner noticed he had blood shot eyes and wasn’t quite his usual self.

Following a clinical examination, some blood tests , an ultrasound and an MRI scan he was diagnosed with lungworm.🩺

A few of his symptoms followed the normal signs of lungworm including - excessive bleeding/ blood clotting issues, lethargy.

A few other symptoms include:

▪ Vomiting
▪ Coughing
▪ Weight loss
▪ Pale gums
▪ Loss of appetite

Sometimes they may not show many symptoms meaning it may remain unnoticed for a while.
This can then cause more serious issues such as haemorrhaging throughout their body including their brain, which could lead to seizures and behavioural changes.

Lungworm can be a dangerous parasite to have for both dogs and cats and if left untreated can be life threatening.

Please ensure you are giving your fury friend regular flea and worming treatment. For more advice or any queries please contact us.📞

This lovely pair came in for their nails to be clipped by the nurses.

They enjoyed lots of cuddles and LickiMat treats for distraction but were very well behaved. 🤍

LOKI’S WEIGHT LOSS SUCCESS ⚖️🐾

Loki joined our Nurse Amy’s weight clinics as the owner had notice he had piled on the pounds since moving from the countryside to the city. 🐶

Between Loki and his owner, they have done an amazing job at persisting with the diet plan Amy put together for Loki. He has lost an astonishing 14kg in weight and is so much happier and healthier for it! 🎉
