Big sky, long grass, two dogs and all the room in the world. 🌳
This is the bit I love most. Not the lead, not the gate — this. A dog out in the open, safe and free, doing exactly what dogs are built to do.
Because dogs aren’t here to fit into a corner of our lives. They’re here to live alongside us — and that means giving them moments like this one.
Calm, stable, freedom. 🐾 #🐾

With it being too hot to walk this week, I thought I would share some photos of previous walks with the gang.

Bailey has worked out exactly where the treats live — and he’s not above asking. Loudly. 🐾
There’s a soft spot in this job for the old boys and girls. The grey muzzles, the bit of cheek, the years of knowing their own mind. People assume an older dog is “done” learning — they’re not. They just deserve patience, a little more time, and the dignity of being met where they are.
So yes, Bailey, you can have your treat. You’ve earned every one. 🤎

All walks have been cancelled for the remainder of this week. We have continued to offer enrichment activities allowing for a garden toilet break and a quick sniff before back indoors.

Temperatures are peaking Wednesday and Thursday. By this point , the temperature of tarmac could easily reach 65--75°C .

A cooked chicken thigh needs to be at 74C +

DO NOT WALK YOUR DOGS ON TARMAC IN THE DAY .
WALK THEM EARLY IN THE MORNING AND LATE AT NIGHT .

KEEP THEM ON THE GRASS ! .

Your dogs paws do not need to be the same temperature as a cooked chicken thigh .

If they do a wee up your fridge freezer , it’s only wee.
Their health is more important than the inconvenience of cleaning it up .

Not only is this a danger to our beautiful pets, it’s a danger to us aswell. Please please stay safe. If you can’t walk your dog before 8am don’t!! They will be ok to miss a couple of days. Heatstroke can kill!!

Well I do not like what I’m seeing on the UKV 03z run for Thursday .
I do not like this at all !.

Keep a level head folks , it’s one model of many .
But Jesus on a pogo stick ,
In all my years ,
I HAVE NEVER , EVER seen temperatures like that in a U.K. forecast .

Even if we don’t spike at those hideous heights , the very fact it’s on a model is deeply concerning.

With the weather set to really heat up this week, the safety of the dogs is my priority. I will be doing much earlier walks where safe to do so. And home visits where necessary. I will be in touch with everyone 😊
