3D Hoofcare Pads. How Do They Work?
These pads work by distributing weight more evenly across the hoof, reducing pressure on the hoof wall and supporting the inner structures like the digital cushion and frog. This helps your horse move more comfortably and can aid in the recovery of weakened hooves.

The MoreAid Spider Bar is a purpose-built 3D-printed competition & therapeutic shoe designed to provide , sole protection, and uniform load distribution for horses recovering from hoof imbalance or pathology.

This shoe delivers a cushioned, stabilising base that helps stimulate healthy blood flow through the hoof while reducing excessive pressure on compromised areas.

The spider bar framework adds rigidity and controlled support across the heel and mid-foot.

PAD SEASON 🐴

As the ground dries and hardens, concussion through the hoof increases, often leading to soreness, bruising, or shorter movement over time.

Pads can help:
* Reduce concussion
* Protect the sole
* Improve comfort and movement
* Support the hoof as conditions change

Not every horse needs them, but many benefit. If your horse isn’t moving as freely, it’s worth considering a little extra support underfoot.

Heel pain can make such a difference to a horse’s comfort and performance.
This Thoroughbred ex-racehorse came to us struggling, but after just two shoeing cycles using full mesh 3D Hoof Care Pads, she’s now moving freely and striding out with confidence.

The pads have helped distribute load across the entire hoof capsule, allowing the heels to strengthen and increase in height.
A much happier horse and a great example of how the right support can make all the difference.

Veterinary Referral Case – Hindlimb

Joint & Bone Findings:
• Severe hock arthritis with evidence of joint fusion
• Marked abnormal changes noted on radiographs

Soft Tissue Findings:
• Injury to the long plantar ligament (right hind), presenting with curb-like swelling

Conformation:
• Sickle-hocked and cow-hocked stance

Hoof Assessment:
• Low plantar angles
• Flat hind feet

Veterinary Shoeing Plan:
The recommendation is to apply 3° wedge 3D pads to the hind feet, combined with hoof cushion impression material. Elevating the heels is intended to reduce strain on the affected structures, improve alignment of the pedal bone, and provide enhanced caudal support to the hoof.
